I am growing the cheese and it is stinking my house, front garden, back garden, everywhere out. I have a carbon filter in my room but when my fan is not running at night time the smell is everywhere.

Any tips on how to reduce/ get rid of this smell? I may have to chop them if i can't fix the smell, which will be a real shame as they're proper dank.

Advice welcome and much needed!!!

Hmmm...Are you sure that your filter is set up properly and that the carbon is not saturated....might it be time for a filter change...and if you not running the fan at night is what is causing all the fuss then can't you just run the fan at night?

I have a Rhino Filter that Is basically brand new so thats not the issue.

Wont running the fan constantly drop the room temperatures too low and stress the plant. It would be at like 10 degrees probably.

If the temp is dropping to low at night with the extractor running you need to put a heater in there but the fan has to run 24/7 or you risk getting busted or robbed because of the smell

Get a new fan and attach it to the carbon scrubber. NOT room exhaust. Just use it as an in room air filter. Run 24/7 no more tears.

lol, you can have the best filter in the world, but if it's not running it's not going to do much good.. :)

just run the filter at night when the lights are off as well to contain that smell better...
my first grow was super skunk and i didn't have a filter at the time and i'll never forget that stink.. omg, never again, i don't care how many filters i have.. the good news was that it didn't smell like pot at all, but rather 2 skunks having unprotected raw butt sex in my grow.. :(

What heater would you recommend? I was looking at some tube heaters, how many or what size would i need for a 1.2m x 1m room?

I use a small oil filled radiator it's small but keeps a room 7' cubed just about warm enough with a 6" fan running

1kw cheap to operate? Surely you don't run it on full? I have the same one i think, sorta like a little office heater.

do you really need a heater at this time of year kush?? that's crazy as i haven't turned my ac off in a few good weeks already my grow gets so damn hot this time of year..
if it really does get cold at night, you could always try running the lights at night time to save on having to run a heater as the lights should do enough to heat things up ime..

what cheese do you have kush?? is it from bean or clone??

Don't let the RH get above 70% at night, during lights off, if it does then the carbon gets damp and won't function properly. More people get busted over smell than noise so keep it on at all times. Mine is attached to a thermostat TT which keeps the temp in range to avoid this swing in temp which increases the RH. Remember that plants really transpire at night. If it's getting cold even more reason to keep the RH low and air moving (bud mold)

It does get pretty cold at night time, I think i will probably run the fan tomorrow night with no heater and check the temps, if its too cold ill try the heater the following night. Unfortunately I can't run at night or I would, cheap electric and easier to cool.

Its G13 Cheese and i grew them from seed, got them as a freebie and thought i would try them out. Cant find any information on the strain, no1 has really grown it.

What good skunk strains are out there that you would recommend racerboy?
