The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

No, chains go into beams, hang down and then we use hooks with string to board, to raise and lower easily.
Getting quotes on aliminium sheets, what grade do you use? Also is it OK to get 3 connector wagos and leave one slot empty so in future I can just add another board in and run softer? Sorry couldn't find answers to this on Google.

Not sure on the alu grade, doubt if it matters. Yes on 3 way wagos

Good to know. Ive read some posts about the chinese boards being a fire risk. Any truth to this?
All user error is my guess. They are pretty dummy proof. My guess is they stripped a wire on the heatsink and it grounded out or something.

you must be smarter then the heatsink in this game bro.

I'm bout to order 5x of these https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Kingbrite-240W-Samsung-lm301b-v2-mix_62018007012.html?spm=a2700.wholesale.deiletai6.2.156328829B15sL#reviewSubHeader in 3500k.

Is there anything i need to ask them before ordering or it come with everything needed to plug and grow? Is there any preference that are worth asking with quantum boards? it's my first time using those. Always been a hps guy.
You’ll have to plug the +/- wired into the boards. Other then that it’s plug and play.

If you ever want to use a smart controller you'll need to get the elg driver not the hlg.

Thanks lot both of you , appreciate it :) 3500k with the red that come with it will be quite good for flowering too right? Or i'm doing a mistake going full 3500k for flowering? That room might do a few veg run that's why i was considering the 3500k because i saw a few people praise 3500k with far red versus the 3000k.

@P0op when you say smart controller, you mean a type of remote correct? I was maybe planning to use a timer with them. Will the HLG work on a smart timer or any timer meant to works with LED or that would also require the ELG?

Is kingbrite better than the 240w Folux Meijiu light ?

Good question, just went from the information i found on the internet. At first i really wanted to go with the strips but found out it won't be doable due to the configuration of the room. I must go with boards (due to the space. there would be things in the way of the strip).

Someone here will surely be able to assist you.

I'm still debating 3500k vs 3000k atm before pulling my order. My guts tell me to go with 3500k with the reds.

If you're just going to use a timer or a flip box then it doesn't matter. But if you want to use 0 to 10 volt dim to off protocol like the gavita EL2 or TrollMaster type smart controllers you'll need 0 to 10 volt input
I use a timer, not a controller, so maybe I'm missing something here, but doesn't the "B" option of Meanwell HLG drivers have 0 to 10 volt dimming option?

That depends on the specific HLG "B" or "AB" model. 320 watt HLG CV + CC drivers and all 240 watt and smaller HLG drivers offer 1-10Vdc dimming. 320 watt HLG CC drivers and all 480 and 600 watt HLG drivers offer 0-10Vdc dimming.

If I were buying China boards I get meijiu 240 folux boards made up with all 90 CRI lm301b diodes and ELG meanwell drivers just in case i ever wanted to control them. The sunrise feature are good for softening startup loads and many have features of dimming based on temp. If the tent gets too hot the boards dim.
