So the purchase you are trying to make are not a straightforward “add to cart” purchase? Also what credit card company if you don’t mind me asking?

I've tried using prepaid cards and couldn't make overseas purchases until I had it registered under my name. Now I have a prepaid with my name on it that I use for all my online purchases and also have it registered with paypal. If I want something I have to go load it and pay a few xtra bucks but the ease of mind from having it hacked or something is worth it. Never keep money on it til I want to use it.

I ended up canceling the order. I went to the bank and authorized my account for an overseas purchase, went back and tried to order from a different company (BAVA). Immediately fraud locked the card dispite my trip to the bank. Sigh, I’m done for the day. Very frustrating.

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. In my quest for the best light possible, I have come across a gem of a light made by Shenzhen Bava Technologies, it's not up on Ali Baba yet but you can contact Alwen Peng for pricing. The light itself is a true 4 channel light switches for different spectrums. All I have is the video that I have shared with you. Tell Alwen that Ali his sweet sweet friend from Pakistan sent you so he can sort you out with a special price.

Personally I have been looking at BXEB Gen 3 strips but this light made more sense since it combined everything into a nice neat little package, I have ordered 3 units and have paid out of pocket. Grow Journal to come when the lights arrive featuring some Ripper Seeds Zombie Kush & Brain Cake in addition to Barney Farms Oranger sherbert.

Heads up for anybody buying eb gen 3"s ,at least the 2 footers anyway, planning to use in a tent. The 2ft are 590mm unlike the old 580mm. I had planned to use two 2ft end to end in a 4 ft tent, the old gen 2s would barely fit so I know these will not. The new gen 3 are much narrower and little longer.

Looking on point! Sorry to hear about the diodes. I think we talked about some differences in board layout, one having sone diodes slightly unaligned or something?

On the standard fotop layout we still havent had a single diode out.

This is quite relevant information. One thing though, you post links to what at first glance looks like other people having problems with their boards. And then problems with the warranty claiming. But on following those links its just your posts on other forums. If there is info about Meijius warranty failings please post it. But making your own issue with one company look like a global grower problem for growers on all forums is a bit weak. Not saying i think its allright to deny you warranty, all though warranties are usually to the manufacturers discretion to what is covered and what is not.

I understand that you feel completely done over by them and that you need to vent and denounce this shit. And i feel sympathy for your position. And i hope this thread hasnt missled you into thinking the chinese products are something theyre not: they wont be US/euro/HLG quality and warranty problems is sorta baked into the price. This also the reason i never recommend buying drivers from chkna. But i do believe the boards are worth their price depending on where you are and what your setup is like, and i would keep believing it even if i had a dead string of any of my boards (over 30 going right now, no faults, touch wood)

It would be interesting to see if there are any similarities (purchase date or i dont know) between your boards and weedsexweightshakes, he also had a dead string but he managed to get warranty. Maybe it would indicate a bad batch or something. Anyways, best of luck and i i hope the boards continue to serve you, please let us know if they break further
I have bought my first board almost two years ago from Bava it had a weak heatsink but the light is still working untill this day. I then purchased 12 boards from Meijiu I have not had one warranty issue they have all worked great. I'm not trying to start anything just stating a point. And it seems to me to be a very isolated incident. Since I'm newer here that is all I have to say. These have all been grown under Meijiu boards. I have zero complaints. ✌☔IMG_20191128_235928_187.jpgIMG_20191128_221225.jpgIMG_20191128_222553.jpgIMG_20191129_000742_996.jpgIMG_20191128_234152_208.jpg

Nice plants!

Thats all under the bridge by now. Ive been very happy wiith meijiiu aswell. But there. Seems to be one fotop version that is more likely to fail, it has a few diodes unaligned. Enjoy the rest of the thread

Overall I’m still happy and have plenty of light lol
Hopefully I can get some more money back tho. Which then I can eventually order more boards lol

have to say that i also have some diodes out on my 288 fixtures after some runtime, like you.
Some are complete out, some are dim, on some you can just see it when drive the panels with a very low current.

@wsws i dunno, but i somehow i guess the mechancial stress cause this.
May think to reinforce the boards in future builds.
Really not sure, as i think i had the boards supported quite well in my last 288 build and still had the problem.
Had this on 2 lamps, 2 different batches, KB 288 LM301B boards.

They would still grow some, even with some rows out, but i didnt like that and went with led strips therefore.

It’s strange cause all the problems seem to be on the left side only. I probably should have reinforced the middle better but I’m lazy lol.
