I was talking to them recently about some rock boards I think they're called. Which ones did your friends get?
It was @Moflow who got some, I believe he was quite happy and he got stuff from hlg and meijiu as well. Also I think OMS (I think s/he is banned now) used them for some custom boards. R2T are interesting for those of us who want strips that fit in a 1 m2 tent, they have 90cm fit iirc

Exactly. It's the 90cm ones I want but don't really know how they stack up against the other stuff available regarding efficiency. In a tent tho there's a few options because you've got the walls for reflectivity. There's some 80cm ones out there as well, it's either R2T or Shenzen Bright who do the 80cm fixture but prob others do one as well.

I need the full 90 tho because I've got no walls and my 240w fixtures I made to use in the corners are shit for that reason. As a 480w to cover a square meter they're sick, but split in half and used like that and they're just alright. Some 90cm bars would be perfect for that bit.

What's the spec on the R2T bars Moflow's got? Any links?

Yes, i got off Meijiu, Kingbrite, hlg and R2T.
Only problem I had with diodes going out was an hlg board and Stephen promptly replaced it.
I got 512 diode boards from R2T. They have uv, red, far red, 460nm and white diodes. I don't see them on their website at the moment. I dealt with Russell. I think oldmothersativa used him too.
They're still working away 2.5 years later. Running them at around 75 watts per board.

I've always thought the rock boards were a good size for 1m tents.-6570450.png

If you scroll down to halfway on above link that's the 512 boards.

A friend had some diodes go out on his almost 2 year old Meijiu strips, he contacted them and Rita sent out 2 new led strips 2 days after contact

Terrible customer service and lead times

I have the same lights. Running strong and perfect for 18months. Definitely do not recommend.

Meijiu must just love us. I have three of their fixtures. The new MJ-650 is my all time favorite out of 5 different LED fixtures.

Anyone tried one of the meijiu 1000w units. Seems like a lot of juice at once on power up
I have a couple of 10 bar Meijiu 800 watt Majo's in my 9x5.

I rarely run them above 650 watts each. Thinking of spreading the bars out, ditching the tent, and increasing my grow space. Only then would the extra watts actually be usuable.

This is using an Apogee Par meter and setting par to 850-950 with like 18-20" head room.

tldr: a 1000 watt fixture to light a 4x4 or 5x5 area is a waste of money and poor design. Total overkill for the area it could light effectively and still maintain even PPFD across canopy.

Meijiu's listings are kind of strange.. really. Having like 8 companies on Ali and multiple sales people complicates the situation even more, ime.

Been in contact with a salesperson, was quoted for a 240w, claiming their best price. Went searching and found the same model, for 25% of the quoted price!

When inquiring, she said its not possible, the company cannot go lower than the official price she's given, "the best price". Showed her a screenshot of completing an order. She asked for the link, link was sent.

After a few minutes she messages saying the listing price was a mistake! Messaged the salesman of the cheaper listing, she also claimed it to be a mistake and refered to the salesperson already being dealt with saying she'd would give "the best price".

The listing price was changed within minutes, leaving questions unanswered.

Left the situation with some distrust about the company's prices & salespeople. Even with the mixed up prices, their products are still half price of name brands.. but the experience so far with salespeople has been a turn off.

Has anyone had a similar experience??

I wanted to buy just the strips only that they build their lights with, like the 8 bar lights.. The price of the strips were more than the whole assembled light with driver, when I asked about it they told me if you were to buy all of the parts for a car vs buying the car assembled it would cost more, after that I'll never buy from them again.. My inquiry was for 100 strips btw.

Why would a company that sells only pre built lights sell you all the parts for cheaper than they sell their actual lights?

Entitled much?

Well than they were honest with you. Did you expect them to sell you the parts at cost? You do realize they are a business out to make money and not just there to be a wholesaler for small growers?
