The deception and diversion of 'legalization'..a betrayal to ourselves and our planet

Well the problem with that is if you'd have to acknowledge that people have fundamental rights not granted by the government and that can't be taken away, but we can't have that... deep down when it comes to it the masses don't like real liberty and not only that will give up their own freedom so that they can feel good about themselves taking someone else's freedom away that they don't agree with. This goes for a lot more than weed. There is no reason for a government to be the protector of liberty when half its citizens seek to take away freedoms from the other side (and vice versa). In the end we get the government we deserve unfortunately. As I regularly tell my friend who votes for the system, "I blame you!"

Indeed...what ever it is, it is a reflection of who and what we collectively think we are.
This can be troublesome for those of us who feel ourselves to be more than dependent robots.

I wonder what it's gonna take for the mass of this country to see that. Pretty big fight you got the media and both parties against you and the average person just doesn't even give a fuck. Gonna take a pretty special person and pretty extreme circumstances probably. If ever.

We still haven't learned to play well with others yet (= non human life etc), let alone with each other as humans.
I'm guessing it's the "pretty extreme circumstances" that will finally tip the scales so to speak...be that man made or made by the rest of nature or both, its gonna take necessity and desperation to remind us who and what we really are again and that we are only a thread in this interconnected web of life.
...maybe one day we will be compelled into thankfulness for all the lives.
I am thankful for you ReefBongwell, I hope there are more folks out there who still see what you see.

Probably not -- I smoke a lot of weed :) Also when you're the introspective antisocial type, you spend a lot of time thinking about this shit.
