Trust me, they don’t jump over it. I have a lot of whitetail here, and they jump over my regular fences, but they would not cross the wire fencing I laid flat. I think they don’t cross it because the grass grows through the wire and they can’t tell where the fence ends.
I've seen a white tail deer jump a 10 ft chain fence at a local airport before. It hit the top and piled over the other side.... but that fucker made it.... me thinks if the deer wants it bad enough then nothing short of a well placed round would stop it..... especially around here.... we have gangster ass deer
Actually a good idea. They did a study of what sounds scared mountain lions when they triggered a motion sensor. They did different music, animal noises, etc, but the one that worked was the Talk Radio one, like Rush Limbaugh. It's really all about sounding aggressive and the wild critters will run off.

Yeah I think I remember you saying ur in michigan too. we've had cougars in michigan forever and the dnr finally had to admit it a few years ago when several were caught on game cam's... but they said no they arent local they came from out west, bullshit i say.... I saw one in the manistee area in the early 2000's in my teens deer hunting , and saw him or his buddies several times over the years i lived there......
No, I'm in the CO foothills. Bears that want to get in the trash. Mountain lions that want to eat your pets, but prefer deer, lol. I can go on and on. I've seen more wildlife here than anywhere I've been. But I'm sure Alaska would put the wildlife here to shame.
Yeah I have put eyes on a few but in my experience, they seem to be transient more than residential in areas with high bear populations. They don't like the competition for resources and apparently don't want any trouble with a bear lol. So, while there are definitely cougars in Michigan, knowing how many bears are up north I doubt those U.P. cats intend to stay put too long. But in the mitten, where there are fewer bears, I would suspect they have set up some territory for themselves not far from communities where they can be opportunists. Their range historically covered all of North America practically.

Mothballs are horrible for beneficials, as well as the ground they leach into. Imo, deer dont bother flowering plants. I always used liquid fence sprayed once a week during dry weather, for 3 weeks. It will train them to stay away. It smells horrible, but its completely organic. In veg, I used to spray my plants, plant pots, and surrounding areas. Never had any problems with deer doing this

Such a beautiful area! I used to spend a lot of time in Divide, Woodland Park, Estes Park, and Fairplay, and I definitely miss the wildlife.

I don't believe CO allows folks to kill deer on their own property out of season or without a tag. Which probably isn't too fair especially in cases of extensive damage being caused.
