The Final Solution: Death to Gnats+RootRot!

Okay, so I have a hydro system that i made with 3 Beautiful, healthy Tall, bush, gorgeous and otherwise perfectly amazing plants, then these gnat mother fuckers (exuse my language but they deserve it!) decide that they want to party in my rooting area underneath the plants so they laid larvae on top of the hydroton and are now in my root area.

So these MFers think that they can come into MY house? and eat MY plants? Not a chance in hell while I'm alive!

So my Final Solution to these bastards is currently this:

Nutrilife SM-90
Ed Rosenthal's Zero Tolerance Herbal Pesticide - Fungicide

I also dosed my reservoir tank with 10 teaspoons (50MilliLiters) of H2o2 ( at 3%).
Unfortunately this kills the SM-90, so ill be changing the water and nutes tomorrow.


So If anyone EVER has a problem with gnats KILL THEM NOW! KILL THEM ALL! LET NONE SURVIVE!
As they cause root rot by their larvae chomping on your roots making them prone to infection.

I will continually update this thread and if this works, then i will definitely share this info with everyone until these gnats are extinct from Indoor Grow Rooms!


Finally after a day of slaving over this issue i will now proceed with my plan and look forward to commencing the genocide upon the gnats.

SM-90 is made from coriander oil/sulfanated cannola oil/and an acidic emulsifier... Not anything that can be killed in it.

Edit: yeah upon getting to the store im now flushing every week for two hours with hydrozyme, then mix in new water with nutes, and im still going with ed rosenthalls zero tolerance.

I haven't seen a single one after my flower plants in dirt got gnats and I used this. My aero plants didn't get them so I dunno if this is safe for aero/hydro

It is commonly sold under the retail name of Buhach powder. It works very well as a powder, or when burned as a smo udge. It is sold on eBay or available online at quite a few places.

SM-90. A few ml of coriander oil extract, some cheap sulfanated cannola oil as a carrier and an acidic emulsifier (detergent). Thats worth about 25 cents a bottle and works as well as its worth. The bottle and label cost likely a good deal more than the ingrediants. At $30 a liter that is like buyin an AN product. Get out the KY jelly.

It is pretty much a gurantee that they do not use theraputic grade when mixing the stuff. Even if you chose that more expensive method, it is readily available and still ,amy,mant times cheaper than the retailed SM-90. Just more marketers (like ED) putting it to the pot growers.
