First car was a 1961 Studebaker Lark. 6 cylinder three on the tree. Fun car. I lowered it until it would drag a pack of smokes down the road.

Best car was a 1998 Jaguar XJ8 VDP. Very nice driver until it was totaled in 2009.

I now drive a 2005 300C with lots of mods to the tranny and motor. It is ok.

My first isn't worth talking about but my current favorite is... 1977 Ferarri Dino 308 GT4. A very economical yet an extremely cool car to own.

Carbureted V8 and "very economical"? I am left to conclude that your budget for both gas and wrenching are considerable. cn

As in economical to buy. It certainly can be finicky from time to time but so far... I've done all the wrenching but no major problems yet. I am dreading that day though. I don't think about gas prices all that much.

When I turned 16 my dad let me cruise in the family's 66 Rambler station wagon with a 3 on the tree and a v8, my sr. year he bought me a 66 Mustang for a graduation gift, that was in 76. My favorite car was an 84 Coupe Deville that I bought in 86. Since then, there's been several Devilles and a few Town Cars in the driveway, all of them nice. These days I have a 2001 Fatboy that I get around on.

First car was a fire engine red 1982 citroen 2cv CV6 special. Best car i ever owned, same one. The range rover was pretty fun out in the welsh fields, but nothing beat the fun of the 2cv :)

Not the most flattering shot, but if you look @ 7:24 you'll see what she looked like in her glory days.
(Crank the speakers so us old farts can here the music). ;-)

First car,I think in 1973, ford maverick. Favorite, I've only have had Grand Cherokee's since 1999, jeeps I guess. But, always wanted a true muscle car from 60's or early 70's.

my first car was an oldsmobile cutlass ciera just like the ones from the movie fargo but a few years older. i fucking loved that piece of shit.

the only reason it's dead now is because i left it running once for several hours while i was in an amusement park with the doors locked. by the time i figured it out and got inside the coolant thing was bone dry, my cd had skipped for so long there were melt marks on it, and it started the death of the car. made sludge slowly leak into the antifreeze. 4 years later i ended up giving it to a broke friend and i told him NOT to change the oil because the sludge would dislodge and that would be the end of it. he changed the oil. the car died 2 days later.

true story. RIP cutlass.
