When is lobster season?
Kind of a stupid bucket list item but i always wanted go get some lobster around that island. Been out there 2 times when i was a kid. A no fishing, boring trip both times lol
Not really sure. Only way I'd catch a lobster is in a trap.

I don't put my body in the ocean anymore. Me and my wife came very close to a bad situation with a Tiger shark in Hawaii.

I would think anything that looks like a salmon smolt would get hammered.
Agreed. They were just next level aggressive today. I was catching them in 2-3 feet of water.

The pattern was them cornering baitfish in small coves when the tide was going out. Water is receding and the bait fish are pushed into the stripers. I had a field day. I lost 2 mondos that either of them landed would have made the rest look pitiful by comparison.

I'm going to paint the full picture here.

I had taken my 7 month pregnant wife kayaking before she could no longer do it.

I had both mine and my wife's kayaks at the water edge which was about 150 feet away from where I could unload them off of the car.

I put my car up in a parking spot up a hill. Coming down the hill I stepped the wrong way and heard my calf tear with a loud pop. Between the sound and the Searing pain I knew I had torn the muscle in my calf.

So now I have two kayaks at the waterfront and the choice of either going back up this hill and trying to deal with putting the kayaks back on the car or hobble back to The Kayaks and get in and go fishing. I opted to get in and go fishing.

We stayed out for about an hour and then went back to face the fact that I had to deal with getting these kayaks back to the car and on top of the car. Again my wife is 7 months pregnant so she can't help.

When people say mind over matter or where there's a will there's a way that's not a joke. That's exactly what needed to happen here and that's exactly what I did. I put my mind over matter I tucked the pain very far away in the corner of my brain and I did what needed to be done. I got myself my wife and my kayaks safely back to the house and then still had to remove them from the top of the car and hang them on the wall.

The worst part about this whole ordeal was I didn't even catch a fish
