Thank you we just picked it up last winter. That rig of yours doesn't look to shabby. The wife and I fished out of a 12ft jon boat w 8hp
We loved that boat and cant count the fish and memories w it but aging bodies didn't like it lol.Could literally launch anywhere. Wish i hung on to it

Man finding gear right now is outta the question. Can't find a good bait casting rod 8'6 8-17 or 10-20 or 15-30lb med heavy fast action to save my life. Seems like I have a crack in my guides or something. Line keep chaffing and snapping off so I need a new one. Fml. St Croix sold out of the rod I want. Okuma....sold out. Shimano. Sold out. Gloomis. Can't find it anywhere.

The only thing I love more than growing weed is fishing. Been fishing as long as I can remember, fishing from the end of a dock or trolling ballyhoos off the north drop for some blues. For the past few years I’ve been on a largemouth kick in the summer, but it really doesn’t matter even perch are exciting. I am blessed to live in an area where there are so many fishing opportunities within a short drive from the house for a multitude of species and a lot of trophie sized ones at that

This has been my worst season ever to date we've not had enough rain to let salmon and sea trout into the system, or not in any numbers.

I'm reduced to looking through old photos :-(

I've only been out 5 times for sea trout

And once for salmon back in May.

I've got serious concerns about the remaining time the local closes on the 6th October.

A fond memory...

I'd had a great night

The sun was just creeping over the horizon... :-( the gig was over.

This was taken 12 hours earlier when I was fishing for salmon on another beat, I got sunburned that day!

The salmon run has been shit here as well this year. Same issue... No rain no run.

That it is!
Its been decades since I’ve fished there! Used to be a decent sturgeon hole, and of course the strippers at the White Bridge. Lots of huge carp too. I’ve fished that sough for many years. Hope it’s still productive. I haven’t heard about any big sturgeon coming out but I have heard about some 30# to 40# strippers being weighed in. Good luck!

We had some clamp on rod balancers we made just for that spot. I’ve caught more than a couple sturgeon on that thing. Are all those snags still on the right? Someone had told me there was a bunch of cars in the slough right there.
I grew up close to the area and the story me and my friends all heard (dating back to the ‘70’s) was that those snags were mattresses. Whatever it was they were a pain to work around.
