Here are some blasts from my past. Would function fine today with a car wash. My Wright&McGill lammaglass with an Olympic 540 for flat head and blue cats. Spooled with weed eater line back then. And the salmon dredger from our legal snagging days. A 6 sided Montague tuna flipping stick. Fun times.

And please leave the sturgeon be. Tougher fish to pick on. Very sacred and emotionally charged defense from most fisherpeople here. A request on their behalf is all.

The sturgeon here are very well protected. Extremely strict rules behind them.

1 barbless hooks is the law
2 keepers between 40 to 60 inches only
3 punch card. Can only keep 3 per year within 40 to 60 inches.

They are also extremely hard to catch over here. It can take all year to get 2 much less 3 of them.

I know not what to say. I did my evil to nature. Was just hoping. Selective activism. Sounded good.

And what are you fishing for of late? We just got 30's after a heavy rain. I'll be looking for lake run trout and steelies when the creek goes down.

Salmon are running through right now. So Salmon and largemouth. I'm spending alot of fishing time on Largemouth due to it being fall. Gluttonous bastards these largemouth are during the fall.

Should try dragging a live salamander through their beds in the spring. You will get new respect for them as killers.

Wow, I remember being able to get away with using 3-4oz. What about the crabs are they still bad, fricking bait stealers.
Out on a boat it matters how big the tide and how deep of a hole you’re over. I always had shit loads of 6-160z pyramid weights on board. Bankin it 8-12oz is usually gonna pin you down. Like @Wizzlebiz said.
I would imagine the crabs were really bad this year because of the lack of water. The brackish water was probably way up past Suisun bay.. And that is when the crabs are abundant.

My personal best was 13 slot sized in one peak high tide window.
That was Broad Slough Oct 22, i remember because it was my birthday what a gift huh? Was either 2007 or ‘08. Wasn’t another boat around :-) then word got out. Fuckers posted my spot on the fish sniffer and my spot was blown up for the next couple years. Fuckers.
