My last trip b4 new year, my fishing buddy and I were fishing an a young lady came up to ask us what the trick to catching these fish. Brian, ( buddy), took her under his wing and put her on several Steelhead, best fishing she ever experienced, she landed 10 or so , here are a couple of her best. It was a great day, her husband fished next to me but wouldn’t take advice, her ( hooked maybe 20), him one

Crab was rockin in about of 80’ of water a few miles outside the Golden Gate today. Dropped 8 pots but limited 3 guys with 3 1/2 pots by 10AM!

The commercial crabbers just got the go ahead to drop traps, so by today the area will be carpet bombed! They can't pull until Wednesday. Once the commercials drop, the crabbing gets a little thin for the sport guys, this year because of restrictions on traps due to whale migrations, (Sport guys had to use hoops, checked every two hours, and no overnight drops) the commercial guys got a late start.

Ya we saw them dropping theor lines yesterday…agree the best stuff is out there right now. We set the 8 pots and looped right back and they were 10+ keepers per pot but come next week it could be a whole nother story!
