Frenchy, My first 73 came out great the second was very sticky and a lot was stuck on the bag and I was afraid I'd rip the bag so more than I'd like ended up in the alcohol the next two washes I left slightly more wet and was able to remove almost all from the bag
re the second wash not only was it really sticky and good yield but the chunks are hard to chop as they want to rejoin the other pieces did I let it dry too long in the towel?
BTW I was running Bubba Kush shake

Commenting on my own previous post I just watched the 3rd run Vid and, I think, I had some very sticky trichomes similar to those shown at least I got them from the plate to the alcohol. The chunks were uber sticky and almost solid hard to chop
now drying big fun" Maitre" Frenchy

When it is that sticky you have to put it in the fridge for a few minutes before chopping, it helps. Also avoid touching with your hand, the body heat will make it sticky fast.

I knew not to touch it but the fridge is great advice Thanks

BTW It's cold here and humidity is 25 in my area so drying fast I think :)

I really think we'd get along very well Frenchy. Its not very often that someone lists their musical tastes, and that I agree with so many of them. Most people I've encountered not online have never even heard of thievery corp.

Frenchy,

Just wanted to say, I loved the tutorial on the hand beat traditional Moraccan style hashish...THANK YOU!

I made some VERY quality hash, in about 3 min with this method...lol. I now got one of my buddies doing it too...

Its a very cool thing to wake up in the morning, open a big gallon jar of trim, grab a few handfuls and drum away...

A couple min later...and...

Press it with some vinyl gloves...

Update !! Frenchy , Finished 2nd session, I used about the same quantity of trim but bottom of bag was powder and I used it. probably a mistake I do not see much difference between yesterday's and today's but had to clear the drain many more times today.
Today I tried to reinforce my 45 by leaving out the 73 on my last [4th] wash so I'll be able to compare the "normal" 45 with the "reinforced".
Regarding drying before pressing with the very dry conditions I have the change in one day is amazing. Although still sticky and malleable when held ,the little chunks seem much more dry.
Any tips on when to decide to join them into one piece, and then press?

There's two schools of thought on hash making it appears. I guess a fella could say Frenchy's method and Matt Rises method. Both use similar methods to extract the trichomes then use very different methods after that. Has anyone had the opportunity to use the same raw product to perform both methods? It would be very interesting to compare the exact same trichomes from the same batch prepared both ways. Then see how they compare today and how they compare in say 6 months. I find both methods very interesting.

Everyone should watch the latest Nerd Show. Best breeding information I've seen yet.
