Alright guys. Heres the deal.

About three weeks ago I ordered my equipment from there due to there prices.

Everything came in a timely manner and everything was there.

One of the two hortilux bulbs had a very bad tinging noise that was VERY loud when the bulb was lit.

I called and told them and he told me he would send me a new one out and when the new one got here to send my old one back.

I called a week later saying my bulb had not arrivd. He told me he shipped it the day before I should receieve it in a couple days.

I called back in 5 days and talked to his wife. She said Oh man we were just talking about you we'll send it out tonight it should be there in a couple days.

Today I call him and he tells me his wife no longer works there, they're getting divorce, and I owe him 75$ for the bulb I never paid for.

To make a long story short, hes not sending out my new bulb and im stuck with a broken one I didnt pay for.

I called back and left a message. He's out of the 75$ either way, maybe he'll realize that and send it back and keep a customer.. Its up to him.

What can I do? I got a bulb that lights up but tings like crazy. Should I call hortilux? Do you think authorized dealers locally will accept my broken bulb because they get credited for them, and i'll just pay like a 20% re-stocking fee?

I was thinking about "sucking it up" and buying a new one, its just a matter of professionalism from the company..
I've been waiting for a bulb that has supposedly been in the mail for 3 weeks..but not.

I would try and talk to some local stores and see what they can do to help you.
I'm sure you would get cut a deal that way.
Send that guy an email and tell him thanks for the light bulb, see how he responds haha.

I ordered 2 reflectors, 2 eye hortilux bulbs, 2 ballast, and 2 timers.

I got charged for two of everything except the bulb. I got charged for 1 bulb.

It was no big to him to send me out new stuff or charge me for stuff he didn't charge me for, until ofcourse today..

He even told me numerous times "its getting sent out today so sorry man our bad"

today he told me quote for quote "our customer service is going out the window"

wtf that supposed to mean?

It means he will probably be going out of business soon, or be sued and lose his business.

The Guy is an idiot! He told me he would pay for the lamp and then said I should just give it to him.
For him to even mention a private personal matter shows how smart he is! I would gladly give him a new
Bulb if he had been reasonable...some people just expect small business to roll over or the will speww crap like this and hope to get what he wants....NOT! We value our customers but are in the business to make money!
Dont ask me to give you something for free and then cry when its not repalced when it breaks!!

Our prices and service stand! Call us a call: we will give you a free sample of Big Bud just to piss this guy off!

Hey gardendepot.. I understand you are also upset with the customer not paying for the bulb.. but please don't come here bashing. This is a community of people and many of us enjoy having a good time! Weird you joined and have a very low post count right after this "customer" was mad.

well if someone searches and it comes up theyll read that the company resolved the problem.
Plus it's moot anyhow now as they appear to be out of business (phone is disconnected and the website is down). anyone know if these guys are still in business?
