Congrats on the weight loss though and having that motivation to keep at it.

gym memberships where I live are nuts. Something like $300 just to sign up (fuck contracts). Motherfuckers are crazy if they think I'll pay that shit.
you should go down and talk to them. tell them your interested in joining but the sign up fee is too much and if they got a plan that can fit your budget. they usually will have a few deals or will make one for you.

The YMCA is a great choice for a gym. Some of them have tracks, bball courts, baseball feilds, work out rooms, and pools. Plus they do fitness classes, have massage therapists, and bunch of other awesome crap. They'll even watch your kid while you work out. It is totally rad.

Man I'm still having issues with energy levels.. Tricky shit that is for me.

I've heard of people working out on a completely empty stomach, first thing they do when they wake up, how the hell is that possible? I'd go 20 minutes n gas out.

You gotta keep doing it. You're not on a low carb fad are ya'? Eat something protein/fiber rich 2 hrs. before 5/6hr sleep is what I do.

Down to 190lbs now (diet and exercise - aka - poverty and walking), I haven't been this skiny since I was in my early 20's.

Think I'll stop and see If I can hold steady at this weight.

A better title for this thread would be Getting/staying in shape thread. Getting into shape and getting back into shape is the same thing. It means you started out as a fatass and you got into shape

its all mental. most people eat a big meal at night then get to it real early. are you taking water with you?

if you feel fatigued all day, i would look into "adrenal fatigue". most people now a days are suffering from this.

it is mostly mental. you dont use weights so really you wont see much of a difference if you dont eat an train. some ppl can do it an some cant. i know i like to eat most days before i train, but if i dont get to it i just try an push thru. i told ya dude eat a big ass peanut butter an honey sammich before you workout. you just gotta fight thru it really like when i was doin that crossfit workout sunday i was tired as fuck an i coulda rested way more than i did, but i just kept on pushin an pushin. i was dead at the end an had to lay my ass down an control my breathin for a good minute or two after, but i pushed thru it by as soon as i said i need a break i forced myself to finish the certain movement i was doin. that helps you for the next time you train you'll be able to go longer an just do the same shit.

morgan is right ymca is an awesome
place to train if you have one close esp if you're a student its only like 25-30 bucks a month an usually they dont have many ppl weight trainin in there.

That's the thing, I stay pretty consistent with everything I do, the things I eat, but my energy levels always fluctuate for some reason.

I usually have a glass of water with breakfast to help with digestion, breakfast is either a piece of wheat bread with peanut butter and a banana, or an packet of oatmeal with a banana or some other kind of fruit. Wait an hour or two, go run, I usually try to do at least one mile every time I go, that's with a .5 mile walk to the track, mile run, .5 mile walk back. Usually takes 45 minutes - 1 hour. I also do some push ups and sit ups before I leave (25), 25 more when I get there before I run and sit ups or leg lifts, 25 more after the 2nd lap (.5 mile) plus another set of sit ups or leg lifts, 2 more laps, 25/25, done. It's a pretty good workout, I'm usually pretty exhausted towards the end, sometimes I can go longer and faster, other times I can't even run 4 laps. It's weird. I try to eat as healthy as possible, avoid excessive sugar/salt, highly processed foods, etc.

Have you ever tried egg whites before for breakfast? Seems to make you less hungry throughout the day and has some good protein contents.
