The good old days

I remember those days. Did Obama just up and ask Putin if he had attacked our democracy and just take his word for it when Putin said no? And then just take his answer as if it came from his boss?

That would be such a ridiculous thing for a President of the US to do.

Ehh, his Presidency was full of shiny unfulfilled promises, and quite frankly as a young hopeful voter in my 20s, I felt pretty let down by politics as a whole.

I always appreciated his demeanor and decorum, and I was super hopeful about the direction our country and our political system was headed, by having a Black man as POTUS. That was, is and will always be a huge deal as far as I'm concerned. But, as per usual, politics slipped back into the slimy cucky white system it always was. Oh well. A for effort, I suppose

I have been careful not to blame Obama for a partisan Congress blocking his moves.

See: The attack on our democracy.

A good place to start is the Koch funded astroturf movement 'Tea Party'.

There is a direct line from this to the J6 insurrection and the current '(CON)voy'
