Hi! I also grow in Upstate, in the northern Adirondacks facing Canada. I grew three plots of 12 plants, ran Northern Lights, Afghani / Skunk hybrid and Skunk #1.

I pulled one plot, yield was 4.9 lbs. wet , had to pull due to theives, rotten bastards got a 8 foot side grown lady and another smaller Northern lights. Other plots are doing well, prolly week and they will be in the bag.
Trichome reading is all cloudy with just a touch of amber. Sure hope to get by without a major frost till the 5th..

Started an indoor soil-less grow room with separate veg room. Strains are Barney's Red Diesel, Blueberry and AK 47 along with two Jamaican and three Hawaii bag seed ( I smoked out of the bag on the islands... ) Finally will have something growing during the winter. I also set for cloning and will have my nursery to do my spring starts...

Slugs were HORRIBLE! Rain for days, lost a lot of growth from the little bastards tried everything under the sun and finally made little screen shields for the lower stem that kept them off. Problem with the Slughetta was that it kept on raining and melting the shit, spent over 80 bucks on it trying to keep them off. Tried beer, eggshells, coffee grounds, gravel, Slughetta and they all failed, the screens worked!

Best of luck to all of us under Patterson and his all seeing wisdom...

Peace!

Pete

hey for slugs i use escar-go! and i gota say it seems to work miracles. ive yet to see a slug touch my plants, they actually ravaged a plant of my moms next to my girls and didnt even think of going by mine. ive only seen really tiny snails every so often on em but i dont think they are causing any harm but i still flick em off for good measure lol

Made it through the first cold night.

Poor Paterson. If only he had some medical marijuana to help his foggy vision. Hey least we don't live in NEW JERSEY!

I'm posting some pics. Close ups of some of my most mature buds. You guys think I'm close???? This is my first grow by the way. This shit has been fun yet stressfull. Any input would be awesome. I'm hoping to last till at least the 15th of oct.

Im all in for the idea to get organized after the season.

Smoke em if you got em fellas. (and ladies?????)

Peace

can you regow the plant if u just cut off the buds
well i dont know to much about re veging .. but i know u would have to leave some leaf and green on it and u would have to take it in doors and its a pain in the ass thats why most take clones before flowering starts.. if your not experinced with the ganja i wouldnt even bother ... try finding someone with clones or just start from seed in doorss early and by next fall u will have massive bushes.. good luck but i would do alot of reaserch before even attempting this..

I bought a 10 pack of supposedly feminized seeds named early girls. Out of the ten - 8 sprouted. Then two of em promptly died in the ground. Then one was a male. The term early girl is a bit of fucking joke. They look like sativas and wont be ready for weeks. My other seven girls were given to me by a friend. One of them has some definete purple genetics. Another one has gone blindingly white. Another one is short and fat. So basically I have no fucking clue. I'm planing on harvesting 4 of them on friday. I say about 50 percent of the hairs have gone orange on 4 of my indicas. The trichomes have gone cloudy. The rest wll stay in the ground as long as possible.

Just pulled all 8 of my girls. The trichs were abt 70/30. The weather is gettin cold anyway. we had a hard frost here in CNY saturday morning... Since mine were in the ground, had to pull 'em.
Our growing season here just isnt long enough..ugh !!! unless you grow indoors... :joint:

indoors is the next best way if your trying to grow some sticky buds. CFL and LED if you know what im getting at.
"NO COPS, JUST CROPS" thats how i see it in ny.

Pulled more lower growth yesterday off three Northern Lights and two Afghani's. About 18 oz. wet and trimmed of lumber.

Not too bad so far, 4.9 lbs wet well trimmed with two large Afghani's and two rescue plants in 5 gal pots still to bring in. They still need a week to two to pack on the weight, one might do a lb.plus..

Hoping for no more bud rot, the helicopters and planes searching for bud to fall from the sky, the thieves to contract swine flu, frost ho hold off for two weeks and the LEO's to drive right by... I don't sell!!!

Happy harvest fellow NY growers~!

so i am getting nervous. it is getting cold and very wet here in my part of NY. anyone have anything to say about the weather and if a week long rain fest is going to be ok? i am afraid the buds are gonna get to wet and not dry out do to the very damp weather/rain. resulting in mold or rot. They are already breaking branches do to the extra moisture and then the wind on top of that. should i hold tough or just pull them now. they are almost done. i guess one more week but i dont want to risk it or lose it.

i'm an old time outside grower in ny, i just grow inside these days, but i do love to watch the outside grows
and this was a shitty year for outside growing in ny, one of the worst i've seen in a long time
the mantra is longer is better in ny, but it's trade off of troubles, the damp wet can screw you royally
i do see the long term forecast is no frost for the next week, though it won't be very warm either
if you can get to an indian summer spell, you will be rewarded big time, every day makes a difference
but monday looks warm, and it could be the last warm day - good luck either way

Why not give them a haircut and take some of the weight of off the plant and let the balance run... some drying and some growing.

Peace!
