The grow is afoot...

Seeds came in the mail today. I was somewhat skeptical and nervous so I've been waiting on them before purchasing all the equipment I have been endlessly researching. Props to Herbies for awesomeness!!!

Will be doing Vision NL Auto fems. Gameplan is to complete the majority of construction this weekend. I will document it here so follow along and cheer me on! With any luck a few months from now the nightmare of running out of meds will be over.

Yeah I'm gonna attempt 6 plants all in 5gal pots. I know that's a lot for a 7x4' space, but gonna give it a shot.

Looks like you're getting there, straight ahead...

Just out of curiosity, are you always going to run auto's? I ask because growing autoflowers is totally different than growing normal photo period strains... Something to consider at some point. In other words, you'll learn a lot about growing auto's but not much about running a photo period plant...not that that's a big deal right now...for one thing, I wouldn't start a normal photo period plant in a 5 gallon, I'd start small and pot up...but an auto needs a bigger pot...

So what you're about to grow this time...may not utilize the same growing techniques of the next strains you buy, unless they are auto's again... no biggie, but there are differences...

When I moved inside from outside a few years back, I called a breeder for seeds. I told him I wanted an auto strain that was potent. He said if potency was a priority, he had many quality strains that ran normal photo periods and kind of talked me out of the auto stuff.

The only reason I wanted an auto in the first place was because after growing outside for decades, and having at the time no personal indoor experience, I didn't want to have to switch the lights, I wanted it to be like outdoors... Now, looking back, that was pretty silly...

Don't get me wrong, I support your seed selection...just sayin' it will be somewhat different than growing more 'normal' strains if that makes sense...sorry if I just gave you more to study?

Keep up the good work, get those girls going...and I still can't see your grow journal (blocked?)...Good Luck!!!

Gameplan is to keep it simple this time and use the next 4 months to study up on more advanced methods. So doing feminized autos in soil.

I've already been looking into seeds for the next grow. If this grow goes well and produces enough meds to last me a while I will be more adventurous next grow. Would like to eventually expand and have a separate space for cloning. Also think SOG would work well in this space. Anyways lots to learn before then....

Not sure what is up with my grow journal. From what I can tell its visible to all site members. I will try to fix it bc I would rather have all this documented there.

Thanks for the love!

so far so good - my suggestion would be to remove the lower door barrier and then fix the door covering. you are going to be going in there a few times a day (if not a few hundred times a day the first few months) ;) and that is going to be a pain in the tuchas stepping over it all the time. 8)

Actually my goal is to not be in there much. Just for watering & pruning.

I wanted to keep the door small and with my back stepping over is hella easier then bending over. Lol

You'll be living in there...

Just kidding... I know I stare in at mine a lot... just can't resist.

When you're young you check out all the girls. When you're old you check out your plants...
