I want to do organics pretty bad, but going to lowes i saw everything that fit my low budget wasnt organic. I hate to derive from it, but I might have to use chemicals like Miracle-gro.:wall:
What kind of difference is it gonna make in a low budget bag seed grow, cause I know taste is supposed to be better with organics.

Er......I would listen to this guys advice in his signiture, not his post ;)

I would try and find some foxfarm nutes or something, you dont always need the 3 pack, just some veg, and bloom nutes

Try ebay, and amazon, I think they sell the quart sizes for around 20 bucks, and that shits Awesome.

organics is a choice, great tasting bud can be grown either way, organic growing for me is more like a life style choice more than a choice about taste.
 
Organic Marijuana is wonderful. Although, it takes time and cost a bit more. Dont use stuff like miracle gro though your bud will turn out weird and irregular. Try looking for some other stuff, although I dont blame you. ;)
 
Its defently not just the taste Im looking at. like mistocles said, its the lifestyle of it, the feeling of al-natural, Ill defently look into that fox farm stuff though, should i go with liquid or soil nutes though?

You can still go cheap on the organics, look into the 5lb bags of blood, bone, and kelp meal as soil amendments.

For liquids, check out Earth Juice and Blue Mountain Organics. Both, low cost and high quality.

If you are forced to do chemical, look at Jack's Classic or Dyna Gro. Both use a much higher grade of salts than MG, but at the same price point as MG. Better quality for the same $$$$.

I've done grows with MG (the soluble powder, NOT the liquid), and it works just fine. No weird buds or misshapen plants or any of that.:-P This calls for some experience on the part of the grower to properly use them. If you follow the directions, you're screwed. LOL

You don't need elite nutes to grow elite plants, but you do need to be able to 'read' your plant and act accordingly.

i did my grow from lowes based stuff and it was all organic
MG Organic Garden soil is at lowes, it's peat moss, composted wood products and composted poultry litter
my only feed was MG Organic Bone Meal(6-9-0), mixed in to the soil and as a tea
add some perlite and dolomite, and there you have a very budget minded organic grow
only down side is that the mg soil does come with fungus gnats, i just baked my soil lightly and bye bye gnats
 
if youre talking about subcools super soil i was just reading that and he says not to put seeds or clones into it and dont put plants directly into the soil???

I did see the bone and blood meal at lowes, and i knew i shoulda grabbed that but for the money in my wallet at the time, some Sta-Green Moisture Master? soil was what I went with. Once i get back out to lowes though, Ill defently pick up both of those and I guess look a little harder for kelp and perlite. Any suggestions on what else to look for?

These are the best in my opinion. Beyond the "al natural" lifestyle, you really should care about the taste. With Organic nutrients I notice a much crisper, cleaner taste in my bud, and of course the plants themselves get huge ;)
 
i dont know about subcools or anything like that but im just using supersoil for now till i can affored a whole pallet of fox farms ocean forest after 1st harvest im just gonna be adding on more things for my grow room
 
It makes some difference in what you use. The real potential is, when and how much to use. Get some grows under your belt, sell your buddies some, and then worry about buying the highend stuff.

how to u bake your soil at what temps and don't that kill all the good stuff in your soil?

200 deg F. for 20 minutes
bacteria are tougher than bugs, so bugs loose
plant growth seems just as good
covering soil with the black poly in the sun does the same thing, much used by many gardeners
