how did you manage that dude...
so just had a chat with a sparkie suppliers, and was wondering, why do you need a seperate ballast, theres is one unit, light fitting bulb refector and hood?
You don't really need all seperates as such... My first grow lamp was a security light... I also bought a second one for about €80...
Nice cheap easy way of getting growing....!
I eventually upgraded to digital ballast as the security lights were magnetic and also mh and hps were NOT interchangeable
Looks like you topped it perfectly, by mistake, lol. Topping is essential indoors if you ask me tho, keeps everything low and dense so the lights get max efficiency.

The purpose of a remote ballast is to keep the ballast out of the grow tent/room or up on the wall away from the plants where it can be hung. Most ballasts (even digital ones) heat up a shitload, and we try so hard to cool our grow spaces. I like to keep my ballasts outside my tents with my extractor fans blowing on them.so just had a chat with a sparkie suppliers, and was wondering, why do you need a seperate ballast, theres is one unit, light fitting bulb refector and hood?
Fuck that! It's like €120 for a 600w package at Bloomandgrow.ie! Add a €45 cooltube and hook it up to your existing exhaust and you've pretty much your lighting sorted. Should you choose to expand you can just add another 600w, cos they're the most energy efficient lamps.theres was alot more expensive than get up and grow, with the lot (light reflector ballast and hood) comeing in at a whopping 430euro
