Veg and flower truckin along nicely, flowers coming down at the end of the month. And I finally broke down and ordered an electric propagator and some more root riot cubes.
Nice man, what strain? I'm reckoning mine will be ready in another 4-5 weeks, still struggling to get the hang of the drying and curing, how dry should they be before going into jars? I notice when I first put it in jars the hygrometer is reading 79%-80%,does that mean it's still too wet and to take it out to dry more? Kinda messed up the last stuff and it lost a lot of smell. Here's the ak47 and the 2 branches that wilted

In flower is the blueberry cookies. Then in veg I've got a tangerine dream, a couple star killer and some alien rift. Prob not all gonna fit in for flower next round but I'll just veg out the smaller ones for the round after that.

Ak is looking good man, how much longer dya reckon? I'd pull those wilted branches, my father in law had the same issue. I usually dry until its crisp on the outside but not crumbling, then jar and burp every other day

You going to run the same strains again after that? I'm guessing I've 4-5 weeks, no sign of the dreaded bud rot yet, yeah I'm going to pull them, don't know what caused it, putting it down to fusarium wilt, haven't seen it spreading though. Yeah I'm guessing the humid conditions are something to do with it too, I had guerilla glue drying for over 20 days because humidity been around the 80% most days, I suppose patience is key

Gonna try get it down to just the ar and tangie, they're my best yielders. Wanna try make some auto seeds for next year too. Good spot man, I'd never have sussed fusarium wilt! Yea patience makes all the difference, my rh is usually around the 60-70% mark. Usually I'm counting the days till harvest this run I'm fuckin dreading it, the blueberry is a pain in the hole to trim

Would the humidity outside the jar make a difference? Or does it depend on how moist the weed is going in? Ha that guerilla glue was a pain in the hole too, gunked up 2 scissors, can see were it gets its name from

Hi Folks, back again for some advice if I may trouble you all?
So my first ever crop went pretty terrible as I said before.
I’ve decided to make a 70cm deep by 100cm wide by 120cm tent and stick it in my shed. I’m gonna use PVC pipe for the frame and aluminium bubble insulation as the cover.

Still with me? Cool. Well what I wanted to know -as it’s my first time indoor growing and really hoping to do better than the last time- what LED lights would you guys and carbon filters fans would you guys recommend? I’m looking for low noise fans for obvious reasons. Do you use these fans and do they stop the smell outside the tent? I’m surrounded by neighbours and don’t want to alert people. Also, how much of an increase on the aul leccy bill do you think we’re talking for running:
-an inlet fan (was just gonna use a bathroom fan)
-the lights
-the carbon filter fan
Thanks again, obviously I’m not looking to break the bank on the spend so best value options if possible? Nice one!

No harm in a DIY tent, just insulate it if it's gonna be in the shed. As for leds, quantum boards are the way to go. Run cooler and have better light distribution. Spider farmers are good but pricey, I'm personally running 2 Chinese knock offs that are smashin my old hps at less watts.
If your going the knockoff light route the most important thing is quality diodes (Samsung lm301b) and a good driver (meanwell with a potentiometer for dimming)
As for fans, I find they all make some noise and the best way to minimize it is to hang the fan so it's supported but not rigid. That way the vibration and noise is lessened

The Ram filters are fairly cheap on amazon and so far have done the job. Packaging was not discreet. Well reviewed on amazon.

Can vouch for the spider farms but I agree with 90s Stoner in that they are expensive. Apelila on Amazon seem like a good cheap knock off (approx. 40% cheaper), they are well-reviewed and have the diodes 90s Stoner recommended...but I haven't tried that brand. Mars Hydro have an official store on Aliexpress and they ship from Germany.

Cheers for getting back to me lads, much appreciated and very helpful. I've spent the last few days looking at lights and fans, my head is melted! 90sStoner, I don't suppose you know the name of your knockoffs do you? I was having a look and wasn't able to find the copies. Monaghanj, I also looked up the Apelila on Amazon but they all seemed to start around the 130 euro mark and the Spider Farmers around the 150 point. I was looking at and have read good reviews of the Mars Hydro TS600 which isn't dimmable but I can get one for about half the price of the above lights. I hate to buy cheap but the the fucking virus has made me unemployed for the foreseeable so there ye go!

I can do one better.

That's what I'm running, I've 2 X the 240w model (total of 4 quantum boards) running at 70%

I'm in an 80x80cm but they'd easily cover 120x120 at 100% my advice would be go for one set and run em at full power
Great I’ll look into them so. What size pots do you grow your Autos in? Mine had been in 10 litre buckets. I was thinking of going down the grow bag route as I saw somewhere that the soil gets better air through them.

I use 15-20L pots for most of my plants, tho ya could go bigger. Not a fan of fabric pots myself, don't have the same structure and stability as plastic ones.

Cool, I’ll stick to plastic and up size... I ended up biting the bullet and buying the dimmable Spider Farmer lamp as when I looked into the knockoff it came to the same price incl shipping as the real deal. Should be here in the next few days. I’m eager to get a crop down and harvested by Xmas (I know that’s wishful thinking but I bought Royal Critical Auto seeds and they’re meant to be very quick. Anyone ever grow them?).
