churr fellow growers, its awesome to see more content from us kiwi's. Looking good. It'll be good to see the out come @PATSR420 for future reference of those strains.

I've had a recent attack on my ladies from thrips in about 3rd or 4th week of flower, the buggers lay there eggs in the soil, and when it warms up they emerge and eat your ladies. Bioforce NZ sells beneficial microbes and predator mites. My IPM wasn't good enough again to the stop mites. The predators I purchased wiped them out, so hopefully get a clean run to the end. Also added some Karanja and neem meal to the top soil, to stop them laying dormant during the colder temps.

IMG_0612.JPG They sell them for 10bucks, these particular ones which I thought was pretty good considering the situation. I just cut a few slots in the tube and leave the container in there till the end.
IMG_0607.JPG There was a bit of damage done already though, but nothing major.

Chur butha, ye I think regardless of what strain you grow from that selection should be tasty. 20 gal fabrics. Water only no-till, about the 6th grow I think in these same totes, but had a bit of Rot and spider mite on the last grow but not much. Got enough to last to the next run.week 8 in flower now I think,ye I wrap plastic around them so they don’t dry too fast. some Xmas smoke hopefully.

have never had an issue with trips/gnats/spiders - caterpillars /moth now and again nothing major- but I grow with coco coir 100% and water 1-2 times over a 24 hour period which helps keeps things moist at all times, had to many issues in the past with soil (both indoor and outdoor)with bugs and other issues - wont go that path again...

Should be just hoping I do them justice haha after seeing a few threads on here I really need to up my game should probaly start with a pH meter I've never checked ppm ec or anything like that just run rain water and a few grows back made the switch to dry amendments, Herbie's specificly. Before this Ive always used bottle nutes. Yea man I like the notill gardening I eventually want to do it just learning about it more before I make the switch been watching that buildasoil channel on YouTube seems like heaps of good knowledge. Your garden is what I want mine to look like haha, that's a good idea I may use it my putter parts of the soil dry out faster then the middle I bet your Christmas will be good !! Those bud look great .

I've got a few mates that grow with coco they tell me I should to but Ive always liked soil for me it seems more lenient if that makes sense have never had any problem with bugs indoors (touchwood) plenty outside but always manageable . You notice any taste difference to weed grown in coco compared to soil ?

Hey @Scuzzman , I Believe I tracked the critters in from my veg garden outside, I've never had thrips or mites through any of my grows(only knats, which I've never had in any of my no-till grows).
I've grown in coco before and found it grew the fastest. I was doing manual DTW and found it laborious and sucked up alot of nutes which was really expensive. I didn't totally nail growing in coco, so I cant really say too much, and also, each grower finds there own way, and if that works for them,
then all power to them:cool:.

@PATSR420 Its good to read that your looking into no-till. Its a journey mate, but well worth the efforts. Blu-mats are a good investment and cheap. Takes a few grows in your totes to get the soil pumping, but when its dialed in, you can reap some mean buds. Herbies dry amendments? haven't heard of them, I get mine from seacliff organics. Most growers that use nutes usually ph there mix. There's whole articles on here about what order to mix and what ph etc. I use nutes on the outdoor ladies, our window for the season is pretty short here in nz imo.
My first cuts this year went to bud strait away....DAMIT:wall:
put them outside too early.

Here's some new ones, and a couplee that are about 4weeks.I just use aloe vera for my cloning gel.

Here's the ladies(sorry bout the pic quality)the taller one on the right, the old man gave to me, seems nice and handled the thrips better than my Gelatos.
