The LED Experience

E27 LED spots work well... in really small spaces and with really short plants (LST / SCRoG). This thread might've not been the best example of what LEDs can do though.

Here's a plant flowered with one E27 PAR38 LED Spot from eBay, vegged with two.

That's really good for 1 of those. how many watts was it? what was it's lumen rating? what's the color temp, looks like 5K from the picture? is there a thread about those ?

This oughtta give you an idea of why these suck SO MUCH ASS. Just fast forward to about 4:00 in if you wanna just see what I'm talking about.
yeah i've seen those, the ones that i used were all uniform. there as some really really really crappy ones called LOHAS on amazon, I don't recommend those at all.

Needs a GOOD trimmin' if I say so myself.
Please trash those China cobs. That's why the buds weren't huge, not your small pots, man. If you'd just take the time to get a Dimmable driver and turn the power way down on those cobs, you'd see what I mean. The lines of strings light up completely unevenly, and some won't even get bright until full power. Tons of videos on YouTube Bout it. Check it out. They're cheap for A REASON.
Just keep doing you man and fuck the haters. Opinions are like assholes man. Every one has one. You do you and let them do them. Always that one that knows more than the next. Always some bullshit on here about what someone is doing wrong with the onset of it worked for me so it must be right. Man there are no rules on growing. Just keep doing your thing man.

Lol can't believe your trash talking veros. They are proven to be better than the china cobs.

Veros from alibaba only cost me $27 a piece 6 months ago so they should be cheaper now as the new ones have just launched
i'm not talking bad about the vero's they just are letting me down... I'll have a write up about those, ya'll can check it out or bury it, but it's on the way, soon enough.

$27 is a fair price for VERO 29 but still too expensive for what i'm seeing now.

Anyhow, thanks for the pricing info, hopefully they come down more.

I like you man, you're the same as me, i grow and learn from mistakes, if this was a perfect science it would be boring. i know this from life, when you make friends you learn more than from hating people. criticism is the easiest thing to do in life, anybody can do it.

This whole LED EXPERIENCE is just that, LOL, another stupid idea, but somebody has to do it. Some people want to make money off it too. I say do it cheap, quick and simple.

Peace!

I doubt you've tested yours at lower amperage like him to even know if yours do that

Amen man. I 100% agree. A LOT OFF ASSHOLES ON THIS SITE. They always have thier way as advice too. I have read so many threads on here and it always relates back to the growers opinion and thats supposed to be right.

ohh man ive been growing for like 12 ish years.. 99% of stuff is pure bullshit with no science to back anything up..

hence I can get 6.5ozs out of a single autoflower with no more than maxi bloom and GH micro for nutes... i crank my cxas at 105Ws each.. so fuck the norm i say

i can best say my LED experience is this song

Yes Sir!! Different variables all the time. Good point and proves that different grows are all different.

Damn bro, your using what driver?? And for how many cobs? AND REALLY flora micro for nutes? No gro or bloom at all? Just maxi bloom?

id like to see a plant botanist join these forums. so we could get some real answers.. like what is the actual nutrient requirements for a cannabis plant.. IE how come maxi bloom and GH micro have the same results as a full nute suite from advanced nutes?

ive basically come down to these truths about cannabis.

there are only 3 variations of plants. Sativa indica Rudialis and any mix of the three.

most plants regardless of strain will grow to the size of pot provided.
Light is more important than nutes.
the longer you wait for it to mature.. the better in most cases..

im not sure its some ebay speical but it puts out 2.1 amps and i have 2 cxa 3070s with one driver each so 210Ws total.. and yea all i uses was GH maxi bloom and GH micro.. with some pure blend tea and great white shark to stop root rot..

No... 36v x 2100ma (2.1)= 73watts.

sorry i got it wrong SupraSPL built the light.. i think its 40V x 2.5 amps...you could ask him where he got the driver

of course i do, and they are fine, they don't light up all crazy patches, those diodes aren't matched in the video .

The driver i used is adjustable constant voltage and constant current if you know what that means, they "chinacobs" were not running at max, only ~2.5 amps draw @ 29.5 volts that's where they were happy at (same amount of light as if they ran at 100w but lots more heat, so that was waste.). (the specs say 32 -34v and that would be at 3.0 Amps. for a 100w)..

The vero 29 i have at 36.3 volts and 4.65 amps through the parallel 4, that's ~42 watts each @ 37C, I'm sure they are putting out at least 150 lpw, i'm sure that's OKAY.. but something about the 3500k version is not making me happy. maybe 4k is better, seems to be fuller spectrum on paper., we'll see what happens with 25K lumens...

But keep on thinking of using 2 x china cobs with the 2x luminus devices 90 cri 3000k i have sitting here, i think would make a huge difference, all at lower current and voltage than the Typical reference are on the data sheets. I have to make up my mind for the next setup still, as more china cobs and heatsinks are on the way :weed::weed::dunce::leaf::fire::wall::joint::peace::bigjoint:
