GoTime by JinxProof flipped yesterday. They’re in organic soil in 7 gallon pots. The main stems are bigger around than my thumbs and I got big hands lol. These are under 500w Red Spec Series 3 Budget LEDs. I think I’m going to have some monster colas in the next couple of months lol!

So I’m about 250 pages into this thread and I’m loving it! I’m trying my first mainline attempt as we speak and I have a question. Yesterday when I was handling my plant and inspecting it, I knocked off one of my 4 mains. Should I take one of the two off on the opposite side so everything is equal or do I leave it alone and keep topping?

No I would leave them and just try and manage any extra height a branch may get with lst and/or supercropping. if you take another main you're gonna seriously hamper your yield.

I recently did the same thing. Broke off the middle two branches on one plant. I’m about 2 weeks into flower and god damn that plant has more vigorous growth than the other two!

The mistake I made was trying to train my plants a day after a good watering. Come to find out they’re easier to train when they’re a bit thirsty as the stems tend to swell and harden while your plants are drinking.

Lesson learned. Next grow I will train the day before my watering schedule.

Now I’m growing in soil and my theory might be absolute horseshit because plenty of people have mainlined in a hydroponic setup.

Here’s what my plants look like 2 weeks into flower.

And people are nice to each other. That’s my favorite part of this entire thread.
For sure. This whole thread has had me hooked since I found it. In fact, I joined the forum just so I could participate. I’ve been planning and researching for a long time and now that med patients in IL can grow I’m going full tilt boogie. I’m set up for ScrOG but want to base it off the mainline route. I know it’s more of an advanced method, but if it’s the best, why screw around learning inferior ways. Here’s my grow room and my babies so far. Another question, the two bigger plants were given to me and are 25 days ahead of the younger ones. I’ve been supercropping and doing LST to try and slow them down and it’s working but, have I made a mistake by putting them all together or can I keep doing what I’ve been doing and get them all to flip to 12/12 at the same time?

I think you’ll be okay especially since you’re doing a good job of keeping them all the same height.

Since you’ll be bending, tucking, and weaving all your tops to spread through your screen you should be just fine.

Your scrog netting is in a “L” shape so my suggestion would be to give the older plants the larger screen area that way if they start vegging significantly more growth you have room to spread an even canopy and then flip to 12/12.

Nothing is a screw up here, everything is a learning experience!

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out for you!

That’s a great idea about where to place the older ones on my platform. Great eye, thanks.

Thank goodness I check on my girls when they first wake up and right before they go to bed.

I found a huge potential problem and was able to put a “bandaid” on it before anything terrible happens.

When I do my very first cut I leave 1-1.5” of stem to keep the dreaded main stalk split at bay.

Well tonight I noticed the beginning of a substantial split. I used soft ties to create an insurance policy in case my colas get too heavy for the main stalk.

Hoping the split doesn’t get worse, if it does, I hope being proactive saves me potential heartache.

Day 29 of 61 of flower. Starting to really put on weight. Almost halfway there, chop should be on or around 4/20/2020!

I thought I noticed my girls bounced back after training if I left fans on, anyone see similar results?
