The most silent inline 4" fan ???

Hi all

Im looking for a very silent 4" fan.

I got this "Stealth centrifugal inline fan 4'' - 171 CFM" and its not silent at all...was wondering if anyone know anything more silent then that. I dont need a powerful one, around 100cfm would be ok...even less, will do...

go get a dryer ducting booster fan from Home depot like 20 or 25 bucks. you may need to wire a cord to it though. runs 23 watts if i remember correct

...but i think i will get that dryer booster fan too, there can never be too much air-flow

Honestly Beast, those are not made to be quiet.

You can build a "soft box" for one though...these are the rage across the pond.

I like to recommend the Panasonic Whisperline.

This, or a unit by Soler and Palau, are what the OP is looking for.

They are not cheap though....but very quiet.

...yeah i heard a lot of good about Panasonic whisp and those soler and palau and TD-silent...but the best buy...i think its the Panasonic...got my eye on one of those...i need the smallest one, but even then its over 100$ ...but i think it will worth it.

I can tell you this: the Whisperline has yet to be the thing that I can hear
in the man-cave. When even just the window-fan is on, and it is always on,
I cannot hear the WL.

P.S. One thing to consider about the price: these do not generally fail. They
last decade(s). Carbon filters, bulbs...these need replacing. So the expense
can be recouped, IMHO.

Do watch for a drop....there is an odd combination going on

has any money.
