Ok i have a few questions, since we are allowed to sprout right now, yet the competition does'nt start until sept 2 from what Im reading, whats to keep the growers who have already sprouted their plants from running them under lights over 12/12 for a clear advantage? Can I get a clear criteria for what the entries are judged on? Is this just a popularity match or will their be real opportunity for anyone to win?

I feel like being able to sprout my bean now and the comp not starting for another month leaves a huge opening for people to not follow the 12/12 rule..

What kind of fail safes are you putting in place to help keep people from cheating when theres a prize involved?
I want to win but I want to do it by following the rules.

You have till Sept 2nd to sprout. Start it up and post pix here till Dawg starts the official thread or uses this one.

You wanna cheat go ahead, but are people gonna believe you grew 32 grams of weed from 12/12 in a cup :roll:? PSU is a master cheater and has probably started his grow already so there is always gonna be cheaters. It's up to you. And there is definitely an element of popularity, (see my 3rd place/3 gram finish in the last comp :)), so think of the judging as a surfing contest. Do it with flair and no one will notice you didn't surf monster waves. Do something difficult and succeed and you are a star and it won't matter how big the plant is. Grow something beautiful and who cares what it weighs. See what I mean?

Dead babies are somewhat plentiful in the cesspool I inhabit actually, (sad but fuckin true), and they really do really super charge your soil. Very easy to work with. Jealous much? ;)

I think I'll start mine this weekend. Time to get this competition going! G.Santa is the 12/12 master so I don't want to let him get too far ahead of me. Not really worried about anyone else though :o maybe the sarge sincen he just conveniently shows up right in time. For those who don't remember, he had an awesome entry last round and came super close to placing. Fran and psua will be too busy arguing like a married couple to grow a nice plant so at least the banter is good ;-)

But in all seriousness, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's cups and their grow methods. This is going to be a ton of fun and there's a lot of great growers in this group. A big thanks to the homie Dawg for hosting this. Good Luck to All; Now it's on.

Yes, you want it to be as old and stagnant as possible... this purifies it of inorganic contaminants and makes the smoke smoother

I know and I have a little trick to keep the airstone from getting clogged and to get a more even distribution of air so I don't get dry pockets and that's all I'm telling you haha, great minds and great growers brother!

Soil mix - Peat moss, pumice ( found cheaper than pro mix). compost, worm castings, crab meal , kelp meal, neem meal, rock dust.

Enzymes....

Master kush. Have not decided on light yet. 1000w is over kill. No room under cmh, selling my bad boy t5's. So thinking of grabbing some warm white cree globes and doing a vert grow with cups.apollos has 2 clusters and a few other leds out. Have not tried to get fixed. Its just collecting dust.

Psu I know you said you have to ride the short bus to run an auto, I may be short bus worthy but I've been flowering my Current auto in 12/12 and she is a beast so just for fun I'm gonna run the 2nd seed I have of her and hope she vegges as well as decide flowering in 12/12. My short bus awaits gentlemen, derp I'm out!
