The Official Canna Coco & Nutrients Thread

I run by PPM instead of EC, so I'm not 100% certain of how strong your nutrient solution should be.

I'm finding out that my not even 2.5 week old plants can handle 1100ppm(95% of "full strength"), but I'm in much smaller pots for the time being.

James06 - Use 100-120ppm of CalMag until you get to the final 2 weeks
on a .5 conversion scale my ppms would be 700 first watering, 750 second watering, and 800 third watering.

All of week 1 I aimed for 400ppm
all of week 2 I aimed for 650ppm
now on week 3, they're taking 1100ppm

Without pics of your plants it's hard to tell. What "day" are you on?

you can see the progression of mine via pics/link in my sig.

It's all a little bit of science. I was afraid to go full strength, but they're loving it. I don't think I would go full strength until week 3, but I honestly don't really know what I'm doing. I've absorbed a lot of info, and I'm trying to put it into practice.

Ionic grow stimulator
hydrozyme
Super Tea
Sweet

Flower
Ionic Bloom
Ionic Stimulator Growth
Budswell
Sweet up then down then up every other feeding
Floranova
FF Big Bloom
FF Tiger Bloom

I am looking to change over to Canna. Can Anyone recommend What to run instead.

so i haven't watered since the last watering...and the girls are greening up pretty nicely. i think i was overwatering. they are in 3 gallon pots so i think what was happening was that the medium was too wet and they weren't taking up nitrogen because of it. but the last two days they have shown a lot of improvement.

Floranova

I don't know what your medium is, but I use canna coco pro

and then I just use the full line of canna, so A&B, Rhitzotonic, cannazym, boost, and pk 13/14.
Along side this I also use bat guano tea. I follow the canna feeding schedule at a heavy feed ratio. Their feed charts are easy to find, just google it. Or go to the official site and the link is there, input your info, res size, medium, and water hardness, ec if known, choose light/normal/heavy feeding and it calculates your personal chart.

ive had really good results just using A&B, cannazym and pk. But this is the second run I've done with the full line and the results are awesome.

Hope that helps a little Stay High.

Thanks MrSky. I understand from what it seems is that Canna has made this a very easy and simple system. My only other thoughts on this are that I wonder what else could be used to supplement the Canna line that they do not offer. What has been proven to enhance Canna's line. As for now I am running soil but looking in the near future to go back to Coco as I have ran it once with HG. Thanks again to all who take the time to read and give a reply.

Listed were my nutrients. My room flower room is 15x25 with 8 1000w parabolic hoods (going to 10 soon), I run light ppm c02 using regulator, room is at a constant 73 degrees using a/c to keep it that way while lights are on and since summer stay about 70 when not on. I veg for 6-7 weeks until my plants are waist high and LST multiple times to get nice multiple colas. Once in flower all plats are in tomato cages and woven through to allow for the most light penetration. plants are usually 8 week strains and I flush for about 2 weeks.

My thoughts were since my veg room is seeming to be holding me up is to go from Hydro for veg to get faster results then flower in soil or coco. I know I am all over the map right now though it just seems for me that soil produces the best product.

Get a thread started, and put all this info in it with some pics and I bet you will have the help you need in no time, I'd be sure to follow. Your on a much bigger scale than me but obv the principles are the same. Hit me up with a private message when you have a thread running. Also take a look at my threads, links in my signature.

Hey all, got a question. I'm growing in Canna Coco and useing the full canna line as per nute schedule. the last few days my plants are doing something strange. the upper leaves are curling inward and the leaf tips are turning yellow. i add 2ml of cal-mag per gallon of water at feeding for calcium, but could this be nitrogen def. if so whats good to use with coco. plants are 6 weeks into veg and hopeing for 1 more till light change. looking for answers......

Maybe your dose was a little too much? Not sure other than that. Flush and leave for a few days and then give a light feed?? I'm not an expert, just from my own personal exp.

I use canna flush, I do a first flush with half strength, then one with full strength, then one plain water. Watering your plants with just water is bad because it flushes the nutrients and goodness out of the coco, but in this case that's what you want really, you want to flush out and start again so to speak.

Hi mica! My cal/mg is added at 5ml gal religiously in coco with no ill effects....for tip burns you might want to back down your base nutes ≈2ml gal. It's funny, what you have looks like mine in week 4-5 when pk13/14 additions start. I've learned to back down my base nutes during that time to prevent tip burn.

put everything in, let it sit for a couple hours or so, then adjust. if you add cal-mag be sure to put it in first.;-)

Test the ph after all your nutrients/supplements have been mixed. Something you add after a&b can make it swing. I put calmag in toward the end, it doesn't really make a difference. To each his own.
