How are you applying your sm90

I mix up a 5gal bucket with 1ml per liter
And soak all the plants.

Then I grab a bucket of the res food and soak em with that.
I do a hand watering, basically use the mix in my rez, add SM90 and do a good drench/flush.
To date with this grow I am only applying SM90 about every other weeks as I have had not Fungal gnat pressures.

I may have posted this question before but never got an answer.

When I first started using Canna Coco I packed the coco into the Smart Pots, to the point that the bags were bulging. I felt that was too packed so I began backing off the amt of coco I put in the bags. I am now wondering if I backed off too much. When a cycle starts and runs for one minute I get about 50% runoff.
Is there a certain amount of coco that should go into a two gallon container?

About to run canna for the first time as a trial in my room, hp pro mix as the medium and my water is .02 ec which I also aerate for 48 hrs everytime. My only real concern is yield
Idk if we are allowed to talk specific numbers of how much we get( if it's not a smart thing to do I would hope someone would tell me) but I will definitely let everyone know what I come up with.. finishing out current cycle than I will implement the canna. This is an amazing thread and if this wasn't my first ever day as a member/my first comment ever and knew how to use the site I would rep+ all day thank you JBerry

specific numbers are always welcome for those chasing numbers.

Lol I appreciate that.. but I'm 100% not the type of guy here chasing numbers alone although that is a very important part. I really do care about my product and what I'm putting out there.
I'm always looking for better numbers, even if the last batch was face planting from fat flowers.

Welcome and good luck. Canna makes great product but a little pricey on some. Last time I Ran canna stacked results were extraordinarily good.

Thank you I appreciate the welcome. I've been using green house powders and adding my own mix to supplement what they lacked. It's been 1 1/2 years running the product and I'm over it need some change because although I've become a better grower my quality seems to stay the same(smell/taste). Cost is a big issue with the canna line everyone seems to say but I've never really priced it out. How much more expensive could it be vs another line. 15-20%?

The Official Canna Coco & Nutrients Thread.

Hello Canna lovers and haters, just wanted to start this thread so everyone that has or needs information on Canna Coco, Nutrients, or Additives, has a place to share info and ask questions.

I feel that I personally will be able to answer a lot of your questions regarding Canna's Coco Line and Cocoponics in general, and hopefully we will get some other pro's on here to help me where I can't, and with some of the other lines of nutrients made by Canna.

If you hate Canna, thats okay too... I'm interested in hearing why?

A great thread on growing in coco already exists on RIU so I would like to keep this one Canna specific.

Let's get started...
first time user of cana coco and loving it just using the base canna coco probably should be using some calmag aswell but no probs yet in coco perlite mix just wondering if the additives are worth the time and money ?

Canna makes great products, well worth the coin. Cannaboost is a different story IMO, I think it costs to much but it works.

Love the rest of the line.

In Coco, use calmag now and save yourself from issues later..

if your going to add calmag add it first to your water. My water from the tap gives me an EC 0.4 slightly hard so i add calmag till i get an EC reading of 0.5 then add the a and b till i get the total ec i want to feed the plants at. A little goes a long way.

Hello,

a friend told me I it is great to use an Airpump for more Oxygen in the Water, is that true and Helpful ?

I bought this

From my understanding you only want want to provide oxygen to the water in a DWC system, for a reservoir you want a submersible pump to move the water around occasionally (i.e. via timer)
Thats a nice idea to use a pump on a timer.

Personally, I just use an air rock to keep the water oxygenated in my res of 90Lt and to keep it moving around. But yeh, maybe just periodically running a water pump to swish it around is better.

My idea with the airstone was to pump oxygen into the res to hopefully prevent bacteria, algae etc... as well as to move/mix the nutes constantly - also, I run a multi-feed schedule with several small feeds a day, which i guess is contrary to what canna says to do. More of a hydro style.

We had a debate about airstones vs pumps in the res in this thread, idk 5-20 pages back. Has good points and quotes from a Canna rep on the topic.

Good luck.

Yeah I'm no advanced grower by any means I'm a novice, I was doing the same and using a small air stone for a small res —But I then read somewhere on here that pumping oxygen pumps bacteria that's in the air into the water, and also rises ph meaning you need more of whatever is lowering it, and I assume this raises EC unnecessarily. Consequently you want to have the water moving without such aeration. When i switched to the timer w/ pump for my medium res I've found there's no frothy build up and its only on for a minute every hour.
