The Ohio Thread

It took a long road to get here...

Our dispensaries have the tiniest bags in the USA...

We drive to Michigan or order online from California because of economics and absurdly prescriptive and arbitrary limits on quantities and purchasing...

We can't grow cannabis...legally...unless it's for something boring...

Anyone else care to weigh in on the hip new scene in Ohio today?

Luckily, it's impossible to destroy the joys and magic of cannabis. Because Ohio would do so, if it could.

Chamber of Commerce has gone live with...this...for a subscription fee, you can be advised of cannabis jobs. Kind of like LinkedIn, except it's both a waste of time AND money.

Petitions will be circulating soon, hopefully. No idea what the ballot language will look like. We need this though, as Ohio is really lagging behind in cannabis. We are missing out on economic opportunities and denying access to patients with legitimate needs. Man I hope we legalize possession and small home grows.

The medical commission may be adding more approved conditions, but that's far from enough, and Ohio medical marijuana prices and access are a complete joke.

In all honesty, it's made things a little better. Buy from your normal dealer at 1/2 price, and if you get caught with it, you have your card so there's no ticket and you get to keep your weed. The dealers are doing really well after the legislation passed. At least the guy we buy from has said as much.

He told me he has gone from buying 2-3 pounds from his source to 5-6 every month. Socking away money for when it's legal. He thinks his business will really take off then.

What happened to NORML? The links from the main national page to the Ohio, Athens, Cleveland, and Akron-Kent chapters are all dead. I stopped looking when I went 0 for 4. Did everybody run out of energy, or have we simply moved beyond needing NORML?

Yeah sounds Like just about everything else in life, someone always gonna tax you, no better then actual "drug dealers" who do the same thing while selling potentially lethal drugs. Always have to capitalize on their greed.

I've got an inside dude at one of the dispensaries in Canton. He said you really gotta watch the dates on your product because these dispensaries will pick up old stock and push it out at the same price. There's only a small handful of cultivators i'll support. Woodward and standard have been pretty consistent from my experience.

Same here it gets sketchy round some of then ghettos depending on the city real quick!!! Like some parts on the east side of CLE, it just drops off, before you know it your surrounded by abandoned buildings, and you don't see anyone out walking no more!!! Lol no thank you!
True, but that seems to be the story in all of the bigger cities I've seen. Not just CLE and Y'town, but Dayton, Akron, Cinci, Detroit, Pittsburgh, etc. It's like it's fine all around you... then suddenly you get REAL nervous. I even got a little sketched out in Columbus once, somewhere a little North of Broad and East of 71, I think. Boarded up houses creep me out more than they have any right to. And I'm NOT going into the hood to buy weed (anymore, LOL).

Yeah lotta meth now too in all those areas. Hate seeing all those sign holding zombies walking the streets begging and "hustling".
