I just grabbed some iranian#3 and it comes with kuamoni and nanda devi#2 freebies too currently and i know those two are related and will have been trading genes for god knows how long anyways so seems a good idea to lump em together like that to me with them being from the same region and all
nice going. I wanted to run the Kuamoni but never had the space/time, I still have them but I fear the beans are too old and besides I still have so many other projects planned. sorta related I just flipped plants recently that are a cross I made Malana Cream from RSC X Cake N Chem from GPS. So far the smell is 100% the Malana Cream - if they turn out nice I'll call her 'Malana Cake'.
cheers

I have 9 Himalayan lines now from RSC. I am thinking to pop the Dakshinkali first as it is a bud type smoke not hash. I would rather smoke buds but can make dry sift, have done it before. Nanda Devi is another I need to get to. It took about 5 weeks for the last shipment from RSC to arrive here in socal.

I had almost given up and was gonna reorder but waited another day and there they were. If anyone has a favorite Himalayan line let me know, I have almost all the lines and do not want to waste time. Anymore info on the Malawi? If it is tripsville I think I need it. I have the seeds.

Anyone tried their Congolese ?
Or the Malawi 2020 ? says its been collected from a 2020 trip.
There congo isnt thats from a collector who sourced it from a well known gene bank i wont name lets just say its old stock and the malawi 2020 was collected by others and given to rsc but they aint sure on it since they didnt collect it themselves hence the low price too and the note in the description saying they offer no guarantees on genetic purity on that one unlike the other one the reprod afropips malawi line they sell too thats definitely pure but more expensive i aint tryed either congo or malawi2020 from them yet thats just all i know about it

Thanks. The Congolese seems to be the same one some are calling red stem and others are selling at silly high prices. Ive seen some pictures of it on one of the forums but when reading the report the guy didnt give a very good smoke report but I think thats just a personal thing. I was interested to know if anyone else had experience with it and found any good plants that smoked half decent from it. Its obviously still quite raw in the form its in and as with many landrace types need work. But I wanted to know if there was any potential in it. Some Congolese are potent or with a bit of selective pressure can fast be very potent. Unfortunately there isnt alot of (real)pure Congolese available. There were some rumours going around that this Congolese might be the one Franco(rip) collected himself and donated for preservation to some local institute, but not sure of that. It could be me mis-remembering, but im sure the price has gone up on them, so im guessing that must mean they've realized they are better than they first thought.

Yes with Malawi, what I found interesting with the Malawi 2020 is they were actually collected recently (2020)in Africa rather than the afro-pips one wich is in quite a few breeders hands and on the seed market in various forms. I thought it might be interesting to see what the 2020 african version was like and its not one everyone has, I haven't seen or heard of anyone who has grown it either. Might grab the 2020 myself.

No these are way older than franco like back to when it was a Belgian colony still kinda old yes some are potent some less so some are also more sexually stable than others too i think alot of the african lines are less explored than others

Mango Thai.

4 plants, 4 females (so far).
Pretty well neglected in 3.3 litre pots of a light peat/coco/soil mix.
Greenhouse seems to be doing ok, we’re down to 3c at night but 22c - 24c clear days so I’ll re-assess once it gets really cold and possibly move indoors.View attachment 5285245View attachment 5285246View attachment 5285247View attachment 5285248View attachment 5285249
Looking good GB. Are these mango #1 ? There expressing like a nice highland thai under the outdoors natural sunlight. Got the leaf shape some of the highland thais have and that one has that beautiful drooping leaf feature some have. Lets hope the weather holds out abit longer for them

Thank you,
Yeah these are the number 1, I think I got them a few years back if that means anything regarding collection?

I noticed that droopy one too and thought the same, just a shame it’s not 15ft tall looking like a smokable Christmas tree haha

Fingers crossed for clear skies and a mild winter!

So far so good, but you know what societal pressure is like, there could be a lady boy or two appear in a few weeks. Haha
If its not in the females might be in the males dont get me wrong not all thai and laos lines are bad for it just many are hopefully you lucky man ace says there thai is sexually stable i been looking at those seeds for a bit might need to grab some along with some mango thai somepoint
