The Step Counting Walkers Thread

Great thread. I don't count my steps, but try to walk 3-5 miles most nights. All the land around me is blocked off in 40 acres, so it's a quarter mile per side. That makes it easier to do the math. My usual trip has less than a mile of roadwalk, with the rest being 3 trail roads or purpose made trails. Last night I did a pack shakedown and got my weight down to around six pounds.

I don't make it out there on my nightly walks, but I'm a mile off the Florida Trail and do a fair amount of there and back overnighter hikes.

This is actually true. You can easily lose weight with lifting and a calorie deficit. However most don't go hard enough with the weights as they should. Also there's a good benefit to the heart as well. That said cardio and lifting is 1000% better overall. It'll allow you to get that high hr you want ie I shoot for 70% of my max hr then lift hard and heavy for strength. All in all I spend close to 2 hours easy working out a day.

I really don’t care if I have a perfect body I do it to stay healthy for my family. The side effect may be a muscular build but my wives don’t like all the veins popping out of my arms and legs. Im working to get certified on the captain of crush grip trainers right now lol there’s only a handful of ppl in the world that have been certified.

Just bought a Fossil Gen 6 Smartwatch. I am seriously ill and I am using walking as a method of getting as fit as possible, before the Chemotherapy starts. I have lost 14KG (31 pounds) in weight since March 9th just by improving my diet and walking 5KM a day.
