Wouldn't the mugshot be property of the state of Georgia?

AFAIK, it isn't the property of Diaper Don, and he has no say over its use.
As would any video of his trial, that would be public domain, and the best pictures of Trump getting fucked will come from the HD cameras in a Georgia court. It promises to be pretty good reality TV and Donald might be in custody dressed in orange if he fucks up or Jack nails him before his Georgia trial, the TV coverage will be national, wall to wall and online too, even the magats will watch because Trump will be there.

Trump decries federal ‘fascist thugs’ despite judge’s warnings
Former President Trump attacked federal officials connected to the Biden administration as “fascist thugs” just ahead of a Monday morning hearing before a judge who previously warned Trump that “inflammatory statements” would compel her to speed up his trial.
The court hearing on Monday is intended to determine a start date for the Trump trial on charges brought be special counsel Jack Smith.

In a post on Monday on Truth Social, Trump called Smith “deranged,” suggested federal officials investigating his actions were “political SleazeBags,” and accused Biden allies in the White House of being “fascist thugs.”

“It has just been reported that aides to TRUMP prosecutor, Deranged Jack Smith, met with high officials at the White House just prior to these political SleazeBags Indicating me OVER NOTHING,” Trump wrote.

“If this is so, which it is, that means that Biden and his Fascist Thugs knew and APPROVED of this Country dividing Form of Election Interference, despite their insisting that they ‘knew nothing.’ It’s all a BIG LIE, just like Russia, Russia, Russia, & not knowing about son’s business dealings. DISMISS CASE!” Trump continued.

Trump in the post appears to be referring to reports that White House officials met with aides to special counsel Jack Smith ahead of the federal indictment involving Trump’s efforts to remain in power after losing the 2020 election. Trump also referred to controversies surrounding Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son.

Trump’s attack comes just before his attorneys and federal prosecutors are expected to appear in court to argue about a prospective trial date in the federal criminal case related to the 2020 election. Prosecutors are pushing for a Jan. 2, 2024 start date, while Trump’s attorneys have pushed for an April 2026 trial.

Trump has made no secret about his strategy of pushing off his court fights until after the presidential election. If Trump is elected president, his Justice Department could end his federal prosecution, or Trump could pardon himself.

Earlier this month, however, U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is presiding over the case, warned both sides in the case to refrain from making any statements that could intimidate witnesses or prejudice the jury pool. She said making such statements would compel her to speed up the trial.

“The more a party makes inflammatory statements about this case,” Chutkan said at the hearing, “the greater the urgency will be that we proceed to trial quickly.”

He is implying the judge and government are mounting a false case against him, the judge is corrupt. He is tainting the jury pool at least and breaking state law in Georgia and his conditions of release. Nobody wants to lock him up for it though, he is too valuable running around loose until convicted and disqualified from the ballot by the 14th as the GOP nominee. If anything, Biden wants to run against him, or better yet the empty place on the ballot he would have occupied except for being disqualified, so leave him running around loose until he wins the GOP primary at least! Make the republicans try to disqualify him before or during their primary process, if they can.

Depends on where he was, 40% of the population are republicans and many of them are fucking lunatics, from my reading of the news. Biden is not the most popular president, through no fault of his own, he is dealing with the social effects of wealth imbalance, nobody but the rich got the benefits of increasing technology since the 80's. The economy is doing great, but many of the people not so much, he and the democrats are seeking to address that and just the republicans oppose taxing the rich. Joe hopes he will run against a disqualified Trump, if he wins the GOP nomination, even from jail, I do too.

Joe is probably the best president since FDR and on labor's side, he wants an international tax treaty and to eliminate the mostly British protected tax havens where the rich hide their money, and the corporations declare their profits. Nobody can tax the rich because they will just move to another country where their wealth is secured by the international financial system. Seriously though, the alternative is fascism and stupidity for America, with or without Trump and the republicans con the base with culture wars while serving the rich. Rupert doesn't want to pay taxes and figures he's better than others and deserves more, he will destroy countries to do it too. Where would the republican party be without foxnews giving them billions in illegal free advertising over decades. Much of the propaganda from foxnews is identical to that from the Russians, they must be swapping writers.

I will engage in an instance of my occasional pushback against one of your pet hypotheses and say No to this one.

On the practical end, the GOP is flopping like a boated fish all on its own. P01135809 adds no real value in that regard.

On the end of principle, not arresting and detaining him as would be done to anyone else* is an indictment of the notional equality under the law that is a bedrock principle of any democratic society.

The damage he is causing by highlighting/boasting that he is not equal in the eyes of the law is massive. The incessant shitposting alone would get anyone else arrested and held pending trial. For all the good things being said about them, Chutkan et al. are standing back and standing by while this grievous injustice plays out under the national microscope without due remedy.

It is hard to overstate the mortal repudiation of the rule of law this failure to enforce (with the required complete indifference to the political factor) delivers.

*Restrictions apply. For captains of industry and finance, the law is merely a guideline. Their hazard of prison is nil.

I agree, but anybody else would be sitting in a jail cell now for the secret docs alone, much less the threats. Whether Donald runs around loose is up to him, the prosecutors and the judge(s). Joe has his hopes like Trump does, the courts will make the call and right now it's a coin toss as to whether he gets locked up pretrial. The perfect scenario for Joe and the democrats is if Trump wins the nomination but is disqualified when he applies to run in the states, they would in effect concede the election. I fear any other republican candidate, if given time could beat Joe and they are all a bunch of trash under the control of the base.

It's the drama, stakes and uncertainty that make it interesting and Trump's legal demise makes it entertaining. This much is clear though and will become even more clear, Trump will be disqualified from the general election by the 14th, if he wins the GOP primary, there appears to be a liberal and conservative legal consensus on this. The republican establishment will attempt to use the 14th to keep Trump off the primary ballot and if they can't, use its prospect to try and make Trump lose the primaries. Failing that there is the convention and Trump should be in prison by then. When Trump starts getting rejected for the ballot in the states and the SCOTUS rules, it will be too late.

The line from the other GOP candidates will increasingly be, " I like Donald and would support him, but he will be disqualified from the ballot by the 14th amendment"... Other republicans will go to court (or their proxies) to try and get Trump disqualified from the primary process too. The GOP will be forced to do most of the dirty work on the 14th before the democrats have to deal with it in the general election.

Trump federal Jan. 6 case set for trial in March 2024
Former President Trump is set to face trial in March of 2024 in the Justice Department’s case targeting his efforts to remain in office after losing the 2020 election.

The decision from federal district court Judge Tanya Chutkan comes after special counsel Jack Smith’s team asked for a Jan. 2, 2024, trial date, while Trump’s team suggested a trial date in April 2026.

“These proposals are very far apart and for reasons I’ll get into shortly none of them is acceptable,” Chutkan said at the start of the trial.

Chutkan at turns criticized both prosecutor’s and Trump’s legal team for proposing a trial date either too soon or too distant, risking either failing to give a defendant time to prepare or having witnesses’ memories fade.

Chutkan also noted that a trial date “cannot and should not” depend on a defendant’s professional obligations, seemingly nodding to Trump’s third bid to capture the presidency, noting that if a professional athlete were on trial “it would be inappropriate to set a trial date to accommodate her schedule.”

to the first two words: if so, then please stop flogging the “defendant loose is tactically good for Democrats” opinion.
1) it’s incorrect
2) I’ve seen nobody concur
3) it’s certainly not worth repeating n+1 times when n times yielded no or negative feedback. Be kind to the reader.

A 6-to-8-week trial with a quick guilty verdict, say with some minor delays, the cuffs go on in the DC court in June sometime, if he isn't jailed pretrial first. He might want that early trial date in Georgia, or he could be appearing in court in orange coveralls on national TV next summer if he delays too much. There is a very early trial date in Georgia in October for some of his coconspirators and guilty pleas and verdicts against them will mean Trump is toast and a possibly a faster trial for him in Georgia as well.

I was looking forward to seeing Donald on TV in orange coveralls while on trial in Georgia. His DC trial should be happening during the GOP primary with all the evidence coming out in public and republicans testifying against him. He could be sentenced just before the GOP convention after winning the primaries and then disqualified from the ballot when they tried to put him on. A federal conviction over J6 will absolutely force the 14th amendment, but I already think the fix is in for that, no conviction required.

It is a good tactic for the democrats, though they have no control over the process. The 14th could end up being the most important factor in the coming election, since his base seems impervious to facts and reason. The republicans will rip their party apart over it and Trump, if he is winning the GOP nomination and they can't keep him out of the primaries. Being criminally convicted and even imprisoned might not do it, since the republican base is unmoored from reality. No conspiracies here, just looking at the possibilities and probabilities while trying to apply logic and law. It might not be Donald's difficulties in court or even being imprisoned that keep him from running as the GOP nominee, but the 14th will or ya might as well burn the constitution.

No!
Reread my analysis. The cost far exceeds any benefit.

Also “I agree” followed by such a rescission is equivocation. Positing no intent to deceive, it’s failed rational hygiene.

On the costs exceeding the benefit we or the democrats have no control over the legal process once it gets to court and that is where it is now. Whether Trump continues to run around spouting destructive rhetoric is up to the judge(s) and nobody else. The longer he is running around loose, the better his chances of capturing the GOP nomination IMO. It is what it is and Texiera is in jail pretrial for the same thing Trump did and the prosecutors have not been pressing the issue of Trump's big mouth so far.

The democrats have not contrived this situation, though Garland did control much of the timing, for whatever reason. Donald will run around loose spouting bullshit for as long as the judge(s) let him, or he is convicted and jailed awaiting sentencing for J6. His trial is scheduled for March of 24 in DC and is estimated to take about 8 weeks at most.
