THE Truly Right Way to Make Dank Edibles

I've read in so many places the wrong way to make them and have been wanting to type this up for a bit, so im finally getting around to it.

what you'll need:
-trim (preferably top leaf)
-pot big enough for all your trim
-water strainer (optional)
-cheesecloth or wife beater
-butter
-crockpot
-big bowl (preferably clear)
-freezer

Instructions:
1) get some top leaf trim. i use 3oz per cup of butter (more if its for personal use). and i'll use 1 cup of butter for like 30 cookies/servings.

2) clean the trim in a bowl of hot water (or a pot over a low flame). mix it around a bit and strain the water from the trim. repeat this step until the water is no longer green at all. if you think about it for a minute, the green shit in the water is all the stuff (chlorophyll, dirt, etc) you dont want from the plant material. don't worry the cannabinoids are lipid-soluble and wont go anywhere. also i've heard that the heat activates many cannabinoid that would otherwise be inactive. i dunno how true it is, but it was from a reliable source at least.

3) fill your crockpot up at least halfway (probably more) with water and set to high heat. when water is warm, add the butter and trim. I like to coat the the trim in butter first by mashing it around in the crockpot but i dont know if it extracts any better. make sure all the trim is soaked tho.

4) let it sit on high heat for at least 24 hours and mix it a couple times for a minute or whenever convenient during the high heat.

5) set to low heat for at least 24 hours. you can mix it once or twice on the low heat, but its not crucial.

6) strain out the butter and water with a cheesecloth or wife beater into a bowl (preferably a clear bowl). squeeze it out thoroughly. it might burn your hands so either suck it up wear some thermal protecting latex gloves.

7) put the bowl in the freezer and the butter will seperate from the water and form a layer of butter will form on the top. it is easiest to seperate when the butter is solid and the water is liquid. this step could take between 1-2.5 hours depending on your freezer.

*if the water level starts to get low during steps 4 and 5 especially, then just add more water. YOU DO NOT WANT TO BURN THE TRIM!

i hope this helped! i know a lot of people dont wanna go through the long painful process of this method but its results are much better. also, it may take longer but its a hell of a lot less work than stirring a pot for two hours. i recently started adding alcohol tinctures to the frosting of some edibles so its hits you earlier along with other benefits. if people wanna know about that too i'll get around to posting it sometime.

Sounds like the hard way to make halfway decent butter.......make a some bubble hash and add 4 grams to one stick of butter and make a dozen cookies that will have your friends saying holy shit those are good! Put 8 grams in one stick of butter and made 15 cookies one time....i almost called 911! The only thing that stopped me was the fact nobody ever died from thc!
