I was listening to a podcast a few nights back, Jason from autopot was a guest, he was talking about some flower growing champion winning the top spots at the Chelsea flower show using autopots to grow them.

the little 2 one i tried, i liked and gona set it back up in the next week or 2 once the roots on my 2 nuclear power clones establish more

@budolskie i re potted 2 plants into the autopot pots, I,m hand feeding to start with then maybe over the weekend il'll flip them and put them into the autopot module.
I've got 2 pot modules and there's a flaw in the design, it won't refill until roots hit the bottom, I'm not familiar with the modules you're using but watch out for that.
If hand feeding is a problem you can poke 1" capillary matt out the bottom of the pot into the lowest point of the module and that fixes the problem.

I've not used they particularl ones but it's easy enough to find out.
If you fill a pot with coco and sit it dry into the module then give it some time to draw up the nutrient then check to see if it has re filled, it should.
The easy 2 grow can take everything in the module and still not re fill, theres enough nutrient left to stop the valve opening but not enough to reach the pot itself.
I'm no engineer but I can see that the valve needs to sit higher or the pots needs to sit lower in the module so it can actually empty the nutrient completely and let it re fill again.
It's only a few mm of nutrient left hence some capillary or some roots being enough to re fill it.

Next room I set up is gonna be the auto pot tray to grow systems, eventually something fully automated and bottom irrigated that will appeal to living soil growers, hallelujah!

I get what you’re trying to say here but I don’t think most realise that all pgrs aren’t equal, I use a ton of them and I bet you do too, heck I’d say maybe 90% of us do. Pgr stigmatisation has became something that has us in the horticultural biz shaking our heads. We need pgrs.
Maybe build a sub irrigated planter or portable sub beds eventually then i know a guy who runs his rooms like that in living soil sub irrigated beds if you got space for it it works well saves on the soil bill as well as having to hand water or drip feed it all
If you talking for tc or for ornamental plants then fair doos or if you mean natural ones like found in kelp and alfalfa meal but as for growing for flower to smoke they get a bad press cos some of the ones used in shady grows are dodgy af and should be avoided like you say it depends on what it is and its use/purpose

Yeah I did sips a while back and they work very well indeed, the problem is when you’re trying to spend 2+ weeks away from a room you gotta have float valves anyways so might aswell just get the tray2grow at that point imo

100% mate, I mean natural ones, and even some synthetic ones if that’s the route ur going, they’re not all harmful/detrimental to quality bud

What I’m trying to say is that the bad of the bunch has led to a stigmatisation of all pgrs when in fact they’re very very very useful tools
Ive only used seaweed and stuff like that ive never ran any of the synthetic ones ive never noticed the naturally occurring ones dropping quality any maybe if you overdid it but same can be said for anything that way

Salicylic acid is the synthetic one I’m most guilty of, I suppose it’s bio synthetic if I’m honest
Thats same thing they first used to make asprin from like in certain tree barks as well isnt it or am getting mixed up ?

No you're right enough mate, the willow tree gives salicylic acid a widely used pain killer for centuries.
I'm told you can also use the tip shouts from willow for a rooting hormone, allegedly it's really good?
I watched some chemistry thing on TV the "expert" reckoned natural salicylic acid doesn't have any pain killing properties.
iirc a abundance of coal tar spawned a generation of new drugs salicylic acid being one of them.

I've read about people using salicylic acid on their tomatoes it's said to makes a difference.
