Both gelato starting to turn purple bluish look like a rainbow happy days
Hey dude, been looking back over your last few posts... That Co2 is making a huge difference, how are you using it don't mind me asking? do you have a regulator and timer for a bottle?
I've thought about it for years, tried the buckets but I feel its a waste of time.
I'm sketched out with the thought of using bottles in an attic with my family sleeping downstairs

My autos veg for about 30 days than go into flower, is yours gelato photo, got fatter leaves
Ye mine are all photo mate. Was unsure how long to veg for. I topped them so it slowed them down for a while. Last minute thought...i popped a banana punch and vegged it for 3 weeks without topping, thats been flowering the same amount of time now. Got too big so i super cropped it.

Hello, I currently use a gas burner to increase my CO2 but thinking of changing to bottled CO2. Based in North UK

1. What type of Co2 gas bottles (welders, pub gas ??) do I need and where do I buy them from?

2. What size cylinder do I need 8' x 10' room? And how likely am I going to be able to get a hire cylinder or will it be awkward?

3. What are the costs for a 9-week grow supplementing for 6-7 weeks of that time?

It was a long time ago but I was able to get co2 from the local hydro shop, long story but I've still got the cylinders.

It has crossed my mind to just open one and let it hiss away.

Now I'd check out Boc and Air liquide it'll likely be much cheaper than a hydro shop.

I'd use welding grade but it's worth checking the difference in price between medical and industrial.

My concerns are more to do with the regulator, timer, leaks and constantly being in the back of my mind if anything were to fail.

BOC do e 34kg bottle for £64 but charge £17 per month bottle rental. Not sure how long 34kg would last in a 8' x 10' room?

£17 a month is a bit steep and involves deets.

I'd look into what the score is if you have your own Co2 bottle, they're available on ebay 2nd hand.

I expect they'll have it sewn up but maybe not, have you enquired about it via a hydro shop maybe the extra will be worth it if its a exchange empty for a full and pay with cash?

Sorry mate just realised that you can see the sun leaves of the banana punch in a couple of those photos. The banana punch definately has bigger fatter leaves that overlap a little.
The gelato I vegged for 42 days after the seedlings had grown to about 8" tall. I had to do some fairly stressful lst early on as i have the height to negotiate with. Honestly judging by the growth over the last 2 weeks i think im going to have issues. Hopefully the stretch will slow over the next couple of weeks.

I'm sure we've all got a welders supply place not too far away..

From what I could see last week when I was looking though, the full controllers and regulators are fairly pricey
Thanks for all your help coreywebster. I googled the rent-free near me and found a supplier albeit about 50 miles away for a 34kg bottle a bit closer for a Hollywell 17 kg. They even advertise them for hydroponic use.

At the moment am using a small 800w Bio Green gas burner outside of the room pulled in through ducting. It is very much DIY.
I have a 10" fan set at 25% pulling out just to keep the smell going through a filter. The problem is I have to switch it on manually every day. I also have another passive 8" intake through a long stretch of ducting just in case it gets too hot in the summer, but this is not often in North UK and I run the room at 29 degrees.
It runs steady at around 1100 ppm and costs around £50 per grow 8 plants, running it for 7 weeks on a 9-week strain. I increase the fan speed during week 7 until it goes down to 700 ppm, a bit of a waste but I only have on or off. The increased heat and humidity suit me as I grow in cold outbuildings and I like the humidity at 75% mid-grow.
One of the reasons I decided to run Co2 was because of the cold. To get anything like normal Co2 levels I had to have the fans on full intake and outtake which made the room freezing even with a 2kw heater going all the time with HPS lamps. I struggled to keep temps up to 23 degrees and it worked out very expensive for electricity. I now run Migro Array LED.
I generally pull between 75 and 90 oz dry per grow 8 plants from seed but looking for 100oz when I get a decent mother.
