The UK Growers Thread!

To keep smell in the tent I cut and hang them without ever removing the plants from the tent.
You might have noticed a net hanging in my tent not doing much?

When the time comes I hook it up and sit underneath, cut and hang the plants with the crooks.
It doesn't come out for trimming until its properly dried by then its relatively easy to deal with the smell.

Pull the root ball out in one go put it into a plastic bag and seal it then turn it upside down and chop through the stem so you don't get any medium onto your plant ..... or if you feel uncomfortable doing that turn the plant on the side so it's laying on the floor make sure it's clean where you set her down then cut and hang in one piece ..... good luck
Cheers mate, I'm going to have a really good hoover tomorrow so the whole place is clean because I know these buds are gonna snap as soon as they are not supported with the plant yoyo's and I don't want them to pick up any shit off the floor lol

Cheers dude, I've got a scrog net somewhere maybe I could use that and then chop the branches individually but I want to try and hang the whole plant if possible. I think I vegged my plants a bit too long this time and if I chop the branches off individually I don't think I'll have enough space to dry it all. I'm going to have to decide how I do it tomorrow I guess. I'm just a bit worried because usually my buds aren't this dense and it's usually been pretty easy for me to do in the past. But then again, my buds weren't as dense as this in the past.

You can hang the whole plant bro no problem, I cut them whole and hang them in the warmer months to slow down drying I just didn't have a pic handy lol
Edit...I made up a bunch of S hangers with 3mm wire they make hanging any plants a breeze!

Good luck with your harvesting!

I harvested all of my plants and it took a lot of effort to do it lol. It's my biggest yield yet. It took about 3 or 4 hours to harvest them and the whole house stunk. I had to harvest the massive plant that took up most of the space in stages. I couldn't harvest the plant in 1 go because it was too big. I found a few moldy buds that had white mold inside of them on the top of the canopy that were covered by leaves and I didn't even realize the buds were hiding under the leaves until I come to harvest. I am drying the plants right now in the tent @ 20c and 60% humidity. Hopefully none of the rest has mold inside the buds. I was keeping the humidity between 40 and 50% in flower so I don't know if my humidity was too high? Or if it was just the fact I didn't have enough fans running? Overall I'm happy with the Quality and the yield but I am worried that more buds are going to have white mold inside of them. I've thrown away about 14 grams so far due to mold. Next time I do a grow I will run 4 or 5 fans inside the tent instead of just 2 or 3 fans.

id say at that level you should be fine it's probably down to condensation dripping onto the buds I think you will find might have caused it so a lil extra space would help more so mate the facts it's grey mould tells me your humidity can't be so bad if it was it be slimy brown not dry powdery grey mould this is why you don't want any branches making contact with the walls ideally that way the don't get extra condensation all over it and then fall victim

Here in the uk it can/does hit 40⁰c on a good day, thats in direct sunlight, our weather data is recorded from shade, idk how different ambient is versus direct but plants are withstanding 40⁰c and more regularly outside your door if you put out a thermometer you'll see it.
I thought I could recall 44/45⁰c in the sun once but wasn't 100% sure now I am 100% sure, it's only 17⁰c today and the thermometer is hitting 37⁰c

Idk how that translates or compares to inside environments but imo 30⁰c doesn't seem too bad when i see that, hot days further the south must be reaching 50⁰c in the sun on hot days?

Yeah I think on hot days it can get up to about 50c in direct sunlight. On my last grow we had a heatwave and it was about 32c in my tent most days and the weed still turned out really good.

Think temps with indoor growing is strain dependent- had some c99 crosses last yr that absolutely loved the heat wave, tent was hitting low 30s centigrade for a month and they loved it , in the same tent had some indica leaning hybrids they proper chucked there dummy’s out weren’t having none of it, but as soon as I gave them imo excess food and water they were loving life - the relationship between temperatures and thriving plants is complex all a learning curve right !

Way I'd look at it is that the plant is gna adapt to temps it gets boiling out in America in some parts of California and just having a cool breeze can sort it out ..... as long as it ain't sky high and super dry I think the plant would be fine with a bit of adapt and overcome .... aslong as they've got enough food and water they'll survive

Yeah definitely something in that mate - I kinda think you could dial a room in by certain strains ie hot room in summer grow sativas as they can handle heat better ect , sounds kinda obvious but only something I have just started thinking about

I'd like to grow some sativas but the flowering window just puts me off ... think the only way I'd do it is by potting up 3 or 4 and then filling the room with autos until the sativas are done or I'd have to rebuild my spot to accommodate a new vegging room
