^exactly...right ownnnn. It's not how much per plant. It's how much and how fast you get per light that really matters. How much you get between a given time period. We're not growing miniature Japanese trees right MOJO?

not when you have plant number limits

Its true, as Nug has said, mainlining is not for the impatient. Its not for commercial growers. And its not for hash makers. its all about top tier flowers. Connoisseur style.

Its like bum beer, its cheap and will get you drunk fast, but its not nearly as nice a good home micro brew.

I realize Nugs has said this takes time and is in his own words a "ocd" thing to grow all even top shelf cola's.And i am going to finish out the ones i started to just see how she goes .But like i said and probably been said before this isn't for the average grower as of time constraints. Also you have to figure in electricity costs if doing this indoors. That being said a well scrogged plant will do just as well in a helluva lot shorter time frame and maybe it won't have perfectly uniform cola's ,they will all be similar. And in a blind taste test i bet you can't tell the difference either. Now i'm not knocking mainlining or Nugs in any way it is a well designed process,i just see a lot of people jumping on the band wagon and hope they think things through as this isn't for a closet or room(unless it's a big one) grower.

Yeah man, i dig. I am still a scrog'er my self. But i do feel Mainlining has its place, thats all i mean. And imho, if more people would weednerd out as much as Nug, the world would be a much better place. lol

Here is the thing about Mainlining.....it is a concept first and foremost...it is not and exact process that has to be done exactly like the way i do it.....a grower does not need to take it to the OCA(obsessive/cumpulsive advantage) level that i do to reap the benifits Mainlining can offer.......it is also something that takes time to get good at, like anything else, one can't expect to become an expert at something the very first time around.......but the most important thing to realize, is that it is a "front-loaded" process, that when applied to a "perpetual" scene, only has to be invested in at the front end of the cycle as a whole once....once it becomes part of the cycle, it does not change the yield schedule at the back end of the grow, dig?....it is a one time investment of time in the beginning of the perpetual......growers can also use the concept of Mainlining at varying degrees, like Subcool and Dioxide, using the knowledge and customizing it to fit their individual scenes...(something all top-tier growers do).....constant engineering.........remember, all Mainlining is, is building a plant off of a single node, and giving some attention to building thick diameter stems with a high VCSA (vascular cambium surface area) it matters little how a grower achieves that.......in my mind, canopy management is so very important if one strives for a bountiful harvest....as far as Mainlining in small spaces....that is where it really shines......much love, nugs

Not sure i agree with the statement on small spaces it may shine there but it going to be costly in the long run ,you can get 2 scrog runs in the time it takes to do 1 mainline, and again Nugs not knocking this or you just don't feel it is a productive way to go with the closet grower.was trying to take some pics of the ones i have mainlined but the lens won't pop out of camera sounds like gear is stripped oh well needed a new one anyway :wall: maybe a better place for my reply would have been on mainline thread realized after i posted it was on sub's so sorry to both ya!

Sub if you haven't already you got to check out Prince EA- Smoking Weed with the President on youtube. Wiz is alright but this dude is preaching the good message and he isn't even a partaker.Cannabis Warriors come in all colors, shapes and sizes and because of that we can't be molded which is what will eventually tear down the false walls of the hypocritical tyranny that is our farce of a government.

love cookies. I grow it, smoke it daily, and have been impressed with its unique terpine profile(best morning bowl of bubble in recent memory). Unfortunately im on my 5th generation and cloning is becoming quite a hassle as the generations continue. This is the only strain that gives me lower than a 80% success rating and as time goes on the aggravation of failed clones has me thinking of doing my first breeding project :P Just bought myself a 10 pack of dairy queen :) Love the vigor, structure, and resin build on these babies in every journal ive read, so now im on the search for a daddy to pass some of the strength and vigor of the dq onto my beloved cookies. I also really hope to find something that can pass on that creamy flavor to my samoas. Anyone ran a dq male in here? well anyways, im determined, willing ,and ready for a long year of trying to find that perfect male to make my cookies special to me:) wish me luck nerds!!!

Otay borrowed a camera and snapped a few shots this morning.most of the plants in this room just got flipped ,most of the mainlined ones get put back in veg cahamber at lights out.But as you can see i tried a few different ways of mainlining and think i will roll with the simple 2 main tips as i don't care for the veg time to take it any further.(as you can see i am running under a single 1000 and really just don't have the space to do this properly.but i have a shark that was 16 head that i reduced back to 8 to speed her up a little.like i said the design of this technique is sound and does produce wonderfull looking gurls but damn you have to be a indian to have the patience to do this (which i don't)anyhow here's some pics.100_3389.jpg100_3387.jpg100_3391.jpg100_3393.jpg100_3395.jpg100_3399.jpg As you can see in the last pic these gurls are all the same age from left to right mainlined 4,3,2 notice the growth difference?should have put the 8 head in thee too for reference
