Hey Nerds! Does anyone know the word on Pennywise? I seemed to remember seeing that it was a new TGA strain being tested, and that it had Harlequin in its makeup. I was interested in that because of the high CBD levels in Harlequin. I think I saw just one or two references to it, and then nothing else.

Will this be a new strain that will be available eventually? Or has it been dropped...?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure sub said at the CO cup that Pennywise was the next strain coming out they're just waiting on their new packaging and stuff to be ready. Could be wrong.

getting cought up on the nerd today only half way through but had a comment and I cannot rely on my memory to wait until the end so here it is. Going back to the lungs..... Sub you are talking about how you don't expand your lungs, good stuff. I noticed a few months ago that when I smoke now I have to take a shallow breath so I start with a little air in my lungs before I take a hit. somehow that allows me to take that hit and draw it deeper into my lungs without coughing. Kind of makes sense, you can't cough if there is nothing in your lungs to cough out so that short breath gives the smoke something to expand into or something like that. just sharing my experience. oh and lately ive been waiting until 5:00 to smoke and then not smoking after 8:00, Have a dank day............Joni Mitchel?

Just finished up 3 girls, really enjoy this strain. I kept a Lemon Bubblegum pheno. The CBD effects are obvious in all the phenos I got. I had one pheno that was real beefy and peppery smelling, they all need long veg times, but have amazingly thick bases, super stable structure. If you are looking at micro-growing this, the yield wont be great. The taller the better w/ this girl, rock hard nugs throughout.

Subcool - you sent me back to my childhood when I was living with my Mom and her roommate. They would listen to JC and JB all of the time :)

That sounds peachy. What kind of stretch did they have? I do have some height limitations...thanks for the info! I'm really excited about Pennywise. My aching knee is, too.

Other TGA Breeders may Enter I won't subject myself to the stress and hoopla that goes into the whole thing.
I'm not measuring dick's I trying hard to run a legitimate business and I worry about that much more than the "Contest"

Some of my guys have a taste for competition and may enter some strains.

From what I've heard, it's mainly a load of bollox and not fair at all, I reckon the winners are picked in advance, ie, whoever throws the most money at them, otherwise how the hell could greenhouse seeds win so many awards!

its funny how, if there was a 'world cup', I doubt any Dutch strains/breeders would even make it into a legit cup, personally, I think the best genetics are coming from the US at the mo, and im not American before people think I'm prejudice!

i was Just in Amsterdam, and most the people I spoke to in the coffee shops seem to think holland still has the best weed, I'm sorry to say, I can find better weed on the streets, herein the uk, let alone what I grow.
i went to 15 shops, all the weed was mid grade ish, nothing spectacular, and what I grow is far better. Sme of the hash was nice but that was it.

Ditto about the cup winners. I agree wholeheartedly. I would just like to go for the party with TGA and for some "Research" into some other strains I might have not otherwise have tried. Peace.

Hey Sub.. was curious if you knew the lineage behind the Mad Scientist entered and won the Oregon Cannabis Awards by Ray Bowser a couple years back. I am just assuming that this is the plant used in the Dr. Who cross. I noticed the lineage or origin hasn't been spoken about yet by you.. so I thought I would ask.

Love my Timewreck keeper. So this intrigues me.

Not much stretch, this is the reason I recommend growing it big in veg, the yields aren't spectacular when it's short, but not bad if you get it big enough. I find myself smoking the Lemon Bub pheno a lot more than I should. It's going to be gone in no time. lol. Glad I have a big ass one in veg now.

That's great info, thanks!! I have time, not height. So if it just doubles, or doesn't quite double, I can go 8-10 weeks for veg. Even longer if the plant requires it. I'm patient to a fault and love the grow process for what it is. And I grow purely for myself and gifts to friends, so it's not like I've got some profit clock ticking away. If Pennywise needs 8-10 weeks veg, then that's what she'll get. Is she done at about 8 weeks of flowering?

Also, I've been meaning to thank Subcool for demonstrating his shaking technique on the WN. I'd read that shaking strengthens stems, and I did shake, but not like that. I was giving them itsy bitsy shakes. Then I saw Sub grab the stem and whip that baby from side to side like a hurricane. I'll be employing that technique on my next grow, which starts Aug 1.

Any idea if Pennywise will be out by then? If not, I'll go with the Space Dawg seeds I have waiting.
