I'm at 3 weeks flowering with my little WW, 12/12 from seed, topped and LSTed. she showed sex at 20 days, so she's 40 days old total. small and bushy.
(regular soil + perlite, CFLs, 1/3-1/2 strenght "Atami B'cuzz soil mix" nutes started after two weeks, the rest of the setup is working good on the other, older plant)

- problem: 5 days ago I noticed lower fan leaves yellowing real fast. Yellowing is spreading bottom up, from older to newer fan leaves. about 6 leaves are heavily affected now (2 whiteish[now removed, see below], 2 yellow, 2 green yellowing in a granular pattern) the rest of the plant looks perfect.

-diagnosis: judging from the info I gathered (quite a few threads/pics) it definitely looked like N deficiency. but pretty soon in flowering, that's why I'm slightly worried.

- actions taken: yesterday gave a little bit of general purpose veg nutes, in purified water (through carbon filter) and a drop of superthrive: I removed the 2 worst looking fan leaves -whiteish/dead- at the bottom and left the other four which seem to have still some life in them.

forgive me for not posting pics now - tried to give you detailed info anyway. May I ask if I did well and what should I do next?

thanks a lot fellow WWers :)

It sounds like you figured out the problem, and took the correct action. Although you may not have given enough veg nutes from "little bit". Dont be afraid to give them more veg nutes if they need it.

A couple of questions and observations

I had a couple WW freebees given to me so I tossed them in with a grow awhile back. They looked pathetic in veg and early on in flower, but about 6 weeks in they suddenly blossomed so I pulled one of them out to reveg. Well when I revegged it she looked crazy. Really weird growth. But I eventually got some good clones off her.

I have added her clones to a couple of grows now and I noticed a couple of things about her. 1st, she is done at 7 weeks. I have let her go to 10 weeks but saw little to no difference. honestly, i feel I could chop at 6 weeks even. i know some of you will think that is way too early, but like i said, i have let her go a full 10 weeks before and saw no real difference. do I just have an early phenotype? stupid question, but could my revegging her have done something to alter it and several generations beyond?

she sure does look pathetic early on, but i have never seen anything like the growth spurt she exhibits a few weeks into flower. is that normal for WW?

How cold is "cold"? What temp would I have to drop down to and for how long in order to get my WW to turn purple?

ty
Generally all the way down into the 50's for night time temps for the last few weeks seems to be the best wat to get results, but if the genetics do have the tendency to purple in cold conditions, it wont force a color change. And temps that low can stunt growth and lower your yield.

For some reason I doubt that this is a female and not possibly a hermi, we're having very high temp and it's possible some of the girls in the room went on a party! Now, buds are super sticky and those bulbs are actually new flowers forming. We are now in the 7th week and flushing.

About a week ago, a small branch of another same configured girl broke, we dried it and we just smoked a bowl a while ago, we decided to call it "speedo", super super stony I can barely keep up with the keyboard and keep on staring at the screen asking myself what I'm doing. So I'm kinda confused ... :-)

Any input appreciated,

Unless you see some nanners, Id say its a 100% female. She looks pretty good to me, and I didn't see any pollen sacks when I looked at the pics.

Thanks so much Dave, I never had herms problem or developed males and this plant has in my opinion a new configuration, branches are so heavy, it's hard to sustain them and all the flowers looks the same, I have like 3 or 4 like this and they look quite different from the others. They are a f3 white widow.

Mine just came up yesterday. These will be soil-grown while I build a hydrophonics grow room for future clones. Hopefully one of these will be a female worthy of cloning.

So, yesterday after checking on my crystals I decided to harvest, kinda strange since we are on the 7th week. Got my clippers and as usual started by the biggest ... check it out.

This is my first grow. Growing in 3 gal pots in a closet under 250W MH/HPS (veg/flower). FFOF soil w/ BioCanna nutes. Vegged for 1 month and now I'm about 1.5 weeks into flowering. They are both female, wooo!

I just started to do some bending on the taller lady today, hoping to get her a little more bushy than so tall.

Crackbaby, I think you will enjoy your lady. Ive flowered 8 NWW, and found it to be a good smoke. Great for enhancing ones mood.

Looks like yuor light is too far away from your tops. Try putting something under the one on the left to raise it up to the smae height
