The Working Man/Woman's wake and bake thread

Like most of you I love to smoke, it makes everything better and actually wakes me up. I also happen to have an EXTREMELY busy schedule.

For the past few months I have been waking up at 5am so I can go out to my shed, smoke a few bowls, do a little IT work (I have 3 monitors out here, lol). This has become "my time" where I can be alone and enjoy last night's TV shows. My main monitor is for browsing the web or other projects, left side is for my CCTV (more to watch my wife than anything else) and the right is TV (tue through thurs I stream the daily show and Colbert and the rest of the time grab the newly torrented shows last night.

While getting up so early has been tough I can say, without a doubt that it has made my life better. I get to work earlier so instead of leaving at 5 with everyone else I will stay in for lunch and be done with my workday by 2 in the afternoon. That gets me home and I still have either 3 hours to work on the house (which I really like) or just sit in the shed and smoke out till the wife gets home.

So, who else out there is on at 6:05 am with their bong?

The keyword here is WIFE. Wives don't do morning sex and they SURE as fuck don't get up with your dumbass when you have to go in early. That is stuff that girlfriends do when they are trying to convince you to put a ring on their finger. In reality though I am perfectly happy in the sex department, spending an extra couple of hours a morning asleep next to her ain't going to change anything.

All that being said she damn near caught me this morning (she looks at pot like beer instead of something closer to coffee and cigarettes) after my dogs decided that someone was in the backyard and they were going to bark at it till someone did something about it. I had let my CCTV (I have one looking at the front of the house and one in the living room, it is nothing perverted, just a way for me to watch the house while I am in the shed or at work) monitor go to screensaver and didn't notice the lights coming on in the house. Next thing I know the motion sensor light on the front is coming on (which means the dogs are out or someone is in my locked backyard about to kill me. Then my phone starts vibing in my pocket so I close everything down, peak out the door and make a break for it. As soon as I leave the shed I hear knocking on the closest window. I said I was "grabing something" in the shed and luckily I was smart enough to hit myself with a little fabreeze before I left the shed.

I am not hiding the fact that I smoke from her, I just know she doesn't like it and already calls me a stoner as much as possible. This would just be that much more ammo for her and more proof that I have a "problem" lol.

I am up around 5 or 5:15am every morning for work and there is nothing better than ah good Bong rip of hash oil right before im out the door, lol keeps me doin those little coughs most of the way to work, those good little coughs that let ya know that you may have hit it a little to hard. no offence but you've got it rough man.

I love my life, sure it would be nice for my wife to be able to just accept the fact that I am me and me likes to smoke a couple of times a day. It would also be nice if we could feed all the little children of the world but neither of those are realistic short term goals. If I could go back in time and tell my wife 18 months ago that I would be smoking daily and she would be ok with it she would have never believed it.

It is all about too much too soon, these things take time and if you rush them you end up with a "me or pot" choice which is tough if you really love someone.

As far as putting out in the morning, that is just part of normal married life. She was into it in the morning this weekend but weekdays are her time to sleep in. It would be a real dick thing to do to wake her up knowing she has no desire for sex but beg her to basically let me fuck her while she tires to go back to sleep. Then again it also might have something to do with the fact that I rarely have a sex drive at 5 in the morning.

Like I said the CCTV is more for my security than getting "caught". We live out in a rural area with lots of meth labs and we have been broken into a couple of times. We are also about 45 minutes away from the closest law enforcement and that is going as fast as they can. I am one of those "better safe than sorry" types, while I am not going to booby trap my house and I do have 2 cameras and a handful of motion sensor flood lights.
