Crowded House is an Australian band. Look it up. It doesn’t matter that members were born in New Zealand. The Mama’s &Papa’s were an American band even though a member, Denny Doherty(RIP) was Canadian.

sorry bern, you are the one that’s wrong and won’t admit it. You also have bad taste in music.
naa Crowded house are a kiwi band just like Russel Crow is. They are an off shoot of Split Enz. But its something that always comes up and they can be classed as both. Saw them live on the steps of the Opera house in Sydney one. Was awesome. Russel crows a Kiwi that like Crowded House we claim as our own but really isnt.

heres an Aussie band. Seen these guys live once and the lead Singer Jimmy Barnes a few times. One of the best live performances you will see.

I saw Crowded House in Toronto in the late 80’s. great show.

Neil Finn joined a tour with Fleetwood Mac a few years ago when Lindsey Buckingham declined. I thought that would be an interesting fit and looked into getting tickets.

Saw the prices and said forget it.

The worst of Australian popular music courtesy of Minogue and Donovan:

Thank goodness further north in the Philippines, a band called MYMP (Make Your Momma Proud) turned it into something actually nice:

We're a bit rowdy on occasion, irreverent, anti-establishment & anti-authoritarian, but ya just gotta take us as the multi-cultural mongrels we are.....or you just won't fit-in.

A bit of Sweden, a bit of British....

Kickin some yank arse
Slo Mo and Murdoch caved.
Not having Murdoch's right wing fake "news" on FB isnt good for Slo Mo's re-election.

Shame as i was really liking my FB feed with sweet bugger all fake news and click baits.

When their advertising revenues dry up to nothing, I'm sure they'll revisit that law.
That's if Facebook decide to do a News service.

" Facebook is expected to pay providers who appear on its News product, which is to be rolled out in Australia later this year."

You're missing the point.

If Facebook has to pay, they're going to pass that on to the users.

Users aren't going to pay for the news on Facebook that they can get for free on TV or regular websites.

So nobody is going to be using that feed.

So the revenues are going to dry up as people use free sources rather than pay sources.

So Facebook will drop the entire service and all those news agencies will have lost all of their income because they drove away their own viewers to different free services.

That is what's going to happen. It's already happened to entities like The New York Times. They're just now starting to reverse a lot of the restrictions on their content after their revenues crashed.

Facebook seem to have got the deal they wanted. So they must have a plan. Facebook is free and always will be. They make a shitload as it is. The deals they have done the last few days seem to be with smaller local independent news sites which is interesting.

I was and am a supporter of FB over Murdoch, the instigator of this in Australia and in America and the UK. When Trump was Prez he also wanted FB to pay if you recall. It would of been part of Trumps deal with Murdoch.
