Think that's one of the good mites (stratiolaelaps scimitus). Where did you get your soil? Many will add them to help weed out gnats. Do they move fairly quickly?

Hello.

I mix pure soil, rice husks, and a little compost with 100-1500 ppm.

yes he moves pretty fast. but my seedlings take a long time to grow

That's a good sign. Root aphids move slow. Most bad mites move slow. Fungus gnats move slow. I'd leave them be.

I wouldn't assume a correlation to slow growing seedlings. They always start slow anyway. If they look happy, keep doing what you're doing.

what not like mites?
how to handle it? sorry i'm a newbie
I couldn't see very well, so not positive it's an aphid. If it is, eventually you'll want to spray your plants to get rid of them. Be sure to get UNDER the leaves and the stem and branches too.

There are a number of things you could use to spray bad bugs with. If your plant is small be careful not to burn them. With a seedling or a new clone turning them upside down under a kitchen faucet is a good place to start. I use pepper spray on the smaller plants and any number of things on larger plants. There are lots of threads here about dealing with bugs. and of course the internet. Welcome to growing. :)
