it is illegal for an officer to harass without provocation or in order to prevent stop or inhibit a crime, there was no crime

lets not trivialize our laws cause some bad apples do just that, its illogical

and its illegal, but like i said cops wanting to be law abideing is not the norm as they know they can get away with it, jsut like most repeat criminals . . they assume they wont get caught or dont care if they do

not the kind of role model we as citizens need as LAW ENFORCEMENT

America needs confidence in their LEO not fear

besides he was just a city gang official ,only real cops are sheriffs, fed mandated law officers vs cities creating gangs with badges

Honestly, I'm more like you, I think... I avoid cops cause I don't enjoy confrontation - I got a big mouth and a temper... Haha, the cop probably would tasered my ass I don't own guns, at least that I'd ever admit to and I sure as hell wouldn't walk down the street with one combat harnessed to me - that's just lame.

But the fact is, this guy had a right to do it. Was it smart? No... Did he pay the price? Sure did, he probably gotta put his kid in therapy now.

But fuck... He didn't break any laws other that think he lived in a free country and had the right to a day out with his son, without being bullied by some cop. But that's my opinion.

Let's say I hate my neighbor - he's a douche (like I might be sometimes)... He plays his music too loud and he has people over all the time that park in front of my house - and I hate that shit. Well, tonight was the last straw. I came home late from a hard day at work and some big SUV is in front of my mailbox all up close to the curb I can barely get my mail out. I'm hating life and want to bring my neighbor down a peg or two... So I call the cops. I tell them I hear shouting and I think maybe there is someone in trouble - a chick perhaps. I make this shit up cause I'm lame.

So now the police come in and harass my neighbor... My neighbor is pissed cause all him and his friends are doing is having a good time. So he tells the cops there is nothing like that going on and he slams the door in the cops face. Well, mr Leo don't take kindly to that so they kick in the door and taser the guy that slammed the door for impeding and investigation - not the douche-bag neighbor that called it in (see, told ya I can be a douche).

So now the guy has to go to jail ? Seems grossly unfair to me. Maybe he didn't handle things wisely but sometimes shit happens. All he was doing was hanging with friends, now the night is ruined and he's facing criminal charges.

My turn.

My wife and I were preparing for our first child. Being a new father and all, I was pretty nervous to say the least. I was just assigned to a new base and received off base housing at the time.

I was on base one night when I received the call from my wife that her water broke. I asked her had she called the ambulance. She said NO she wanted me to take her to the medical center on base ( as was the plan ). I immediately let it be none to my crew that my wife was in labor. Big cheers filled the room. I left that base going 80 miles an hour trying reach home.

Two blocks from my place . I get the red and blue lights in back of me. I pull over and fumbling for my license I tell the officer I'm having a baby and my water just broke. The officer looks at me with a puzzled face and says " "your water just broke". I try to gather myself and tell him no my wife's water just broke and I need to get her to the hospital. I tell him I live just around the corner at ( I give him the address ). He laughs and tells me to follow him whilst keeping my license.

I follow behind, with him using his lights and siren ( although he was going slower then I was before he made me stop). When we reached my place my wife was already outside half sitting and laying on the steps. The officer says "you want me to call the Ambulance" She again says ( well actually yells ) Get me to the Medical Center". I still remember the sigh the officer let out as he once again says "follow me" We did.

With lights a blazing we arrive at the front gate of my base. I tell the officer thank you and off we went to have our child. The next day guess who came to the medical center...the officer he had forgot to give me back my license. He also brought a police teddy bear for my child.

I tell him to go fuck himself because he can only ask for my ID, he cannot demand it unless I have committed some crime that he witnessed. I go inside my house and call the sheriff and report the officer for bad conduct. The next day a different officer came out and I told him the same thing. He just took the DVD and left. That was 5 years ago.

I live near a smaller town, a neighborly place, yet the cops here are just as fucked up as the rest.
