thin plant

hello its my first time i grow weed and got the seeds from a friend
i planted 2 seed in dirt at 20 of this month and it have 4 leaves now but it is thin and 1 grow tall and thin but it broke and died
i put my plant next to the window so it get light from the sun but when i saw how its growing i got 1 cfl light i have in the house and put it right above the plant and close to it the cfl light is 23w
i was hoping to plant it and use the help of the sun light cause i cant afford to make a full indoor set up
please help so i dont loose my plant

ok should i keep letting the sun to enter from the window ? or i should stop doing that ?
and about watering i put water like 2 days ago
and about the bulb should i get more bulbs ? is that a good bulb ?

The sun isn't strong enuff yet... though I don't kno where u are..lol.. they sell 100w big bulbs at walmart. Gonna need more then 1 little one for sure. New plants need very little water or they will fall over and die from rot or wilt.

i got 3 wholes in the bottom and i water it every 5 days
i live in egypt during the day its like 40 degree celcius
so should i get bulbs that give me 100W now or i can manage with this one now ? we dont have those 100W bulb here i need to get like 3 34W bulbs
i stoped letting the sun in cause the plant was going side ways cause it enter from the window and the plant is on the floor i thought maybe because of that its going up to the sides and getting thin

Invest 100 USD in a 600w hps on eBay
It will pay for itself

My suggestion is, have a look for a used T5HO fixture, look around the aquarium secton for your favorite classified site, grab 6500k bulbs from your hydroponic store ($12 canada). Many sizes to choose from 12"-48". Also hit up the dollar store and grab yourself some of the Emergency Mylar tents and double sided tape and rig up a veg box. Look at reptile suplies for a cheap heat pad, and run that on a individual timer. I never get the results I look for when I use CFLs. If you can't do such tasks I would just leave the light on 24hours till May 15th and plant them outside.

It seems like you already know your issue though, you made sure to post pictures of your bulb and you know you're not getting the right light from the window.

OP lives in egypt, a 600w mh/hps will just cause more heat problems or cost a killing too cool it... LED or T5HO are worth it if you cant easily combat the heat or can pay for a big hydro bill. Plus OP only has 2 plants so paying out the ass for a LED isnt even worth it.

do u mean the bulb that gives the purple light ? and in this case 6500k i dont have to worry about wattage ?

if i get an hps i wont be able to cool the room cause it already 41 degree celcius and i dont have that much money to buy stuff that will cost me alot im trying to get a good solution not a great one
and is it doable to keep the plant inside and grow it by sun light from the window and help of bulbs ?

Its like your traditional fluorescent lighting, But you will want to buy a 6500k bulb for veg, the grow bulbs are slightly blue (cant notice unless compared). in my saltwater aquarium I have 10,000k and that is bright white and actinic 420-440nm blue I dont even see a K rating on it...

ok im sorry for asking alot but ask now better then being sorry later
if the store owner didnt understand the 6500k what else properties should it have i might ask about
and what color should it be the normal white one ?

Then look around walmart or other department store find the highest wattage CFL (I can only ever find 5500k) but if you can find one with a 6500k rating you are laughing. Grab those cheap emergency mylar tents, even tinfoil or paint the area around white. set up like 2 of those strong CFL lights roughly 5 inches from each plant. Leave on for 24 hours till the 15th of may (last frost in canada)

You are growing weed broski, dont go asking people at the store for help. Just look around. I think you will have a tough time getting help from anyone at stores for this type of thing, unless its a hydroponic store... Dont feel/be sketchy, take your time and look at all the light bulbs they offer, They only care if people spend too much time in the cough syrup isle.

the problem im not living in the us and i cant get stuff shipped to here so im gonna have to search the market in egypt thats where i live and u didnt answer me cant i grow it without being fully indoor plant like put it close to the window and help it with the bulb ? and here its different then us stores here u gotta ask the people in the store about what u need and the good thing is that they have no clue about weed growing they just give u what u want if u know what u want thats why i asked if there is any specs i can ask about else then 6500k

You would need too shop around for whats available in your area.

My answer would be no. I would not personally try to grow a plant in a window. It is not in anyway like your basic house plants... You gotta take the plant outside or add a whole shit load of artificial light, We are trying to simulate the sun not use a small amount of it.... When you do take it out side (not in a window) leave it in partly shaded area for a day, the suns strength will most likely shock it and stress it out hard core. Also try to plant it where it will get the earliest sun all the way till about 2pm atleast.

I would have thought of growing it outdoors if you live in Egypt?
