well I'm not wasting 5 feet of height in my tents ..... just for a SK

Lol at the whole intensity thing. MKR is nowhere near as intense as cxa3070 or better. Like I Said unless they get some bin MKR that Cree says doesn't exist then these lights are exactly what the footprints above say they are. Chinese high bays with performance on par with or slightly better than hps watt for watt.

Just one more thing about Spectrum King. They have partnered up with, and are the only LED manufacturers partnered up with.........CREE!

So I'm in the process of placing an order for Cree CXB3590 at 3000k, 42" heat sinks 5.886" wide with fans and Mean Well drivers. Should I run each COB with its own driver or a larger driver for every 4 COBS? Any thoughts on that. Recommendations? Enough cooling? I plan on mounting 4 COBS on each 42" heatsink.

In case you haven't figured it out, I'm new here. You guys seem to want to help though, and that's very cool. I don't know if this will help anybody but I just replaced my veg lights with 4' led tubes. I was able to remove the heavy, noisy, heat producing ballasts from some $12.00 Home Depot Shop lights. Mounted 7 fixtures on 2 4' pieces of PVC with some brackets that I drilled holes in the fixtures to mount to make a panel larger than the t5 panels sold in the hydro stores and for about half the cost. 27 watts per tube at 6500k. Very bright! I'll make a second one and I have some shop lights that have a wider spread between bulbs and will throw a few led tubes in them for cloning. I have to think that if you own a t5 fixture, you should be able to open it up. remove the ballasts, the wiring diagram comes with the bulbs and bam! If you're not adventurous, you can find led tubes that will work with or without the ballasts but obviously it's nice to get rid of the extra heat, noise and power consumption not to mention the high failure rates of cheaper shop lights.

I'm done. Par meters foot prints spread dont matter anymore. SK is king. I'm going to try to be an authorized dealer. SK is tapping into zero point energy. In these instances 1+1 does in fact =12. Ok the cat is out of the bag folks time to move on.
If the light can produce 1+ GPW of high quality herb, then what is everybody's problem with the product itself?

Can anybody please name an LED light on the market that can put out similar numbers for a similar wattage consumption? I really am curious as to what the better options are.

Thanks captain, I will probably do that and try to take you guys along for the adventure of putting one of these panels together. Ordering the CREE COBS at Alibaba is a bit involved and not done in 5 minutes, at least not on a Saturday. Looks like I need to communicate with the seller before I can complete my order there. And guys, they are selling the same identical (at least model number from start to finish) as Digikey for $40.00. Digikey is asking $68.00 each. I'm talking of course about the CREE CXB3590-0000-000ROHCB30G. Might not be top bin but in stock and I think that you need to order 100 or so to get into a different bin.

Sure.
Thus far the Osram Zelion HL has produced a 1.50 GPW grow
Cree cobs have done 1.43 GPW.

Also
I don't know the calculation methods for the 1+ GPW of SK.
Likely they've divided the half day light on in to their equation making it a .5+ GPW when comparing to the Zelion HL

But I don't know their methods so I can't speak for SK.... Given their perfection of using the English language to best suit their BS likely they divided like I assume. But maybe I'm wrong.

I'm not the only one pulling in the 2 GPW range with COBs, divided weight by total watts pulled by COBs.
Please be more specific.

I'm currently trying to find or establish a standard for GPW as everyone is using something different allowing shit companies to propigate BS in GPW numbers.

Not targeting you captain Morgan as I know Cree cobs are epicness. Just need clarification brother

If he is driving his cobs at say 50 watts each and has 8 cobs he would pull 800 grams from 400 watts. Driven watts is before drivers and fans. Kinda like advertised wattage. A 1000 hps pulls 1060 or more from the wall if you get my drift. In other words captain Morgan knows his shit

Yeah, so I'd start a new thread and see if we can get a panel built with the CXB 3590's but I don't know how.......to start a new thread.

Damn! Clearly that's bad ass.

Could you visit https://www.rollitup.org/t/gpw-grams-per-watt-standing-calculation-method.885186/
And leave your .2 ct. As a person calculating GPW with hid should consider their cooling electricity needs.

My system with Cree cobs and Osram is using 400watts not subtracting fans and drivers. I couldn't dream of 800 grams. But I'm not an awesome grower like captainmorgan as I only hope to pull 350 grams with my grow.

I think including grow room conditioning in to the GPW is valid as hid needs much more airflow and thus really uses more electricity to grow than led
