Think She’s Ready?

Think she’s ready to go or should I wait? (She got a little nute burned early on, I know). Still growing some new white hairs, but showing clear and milky Trichs with a few Amber here and there.

I’m growing in coco with cloth pots, Mars Hydro, Mars Hydro LED TS3000, AN Jungle Juice Nutes, finishing with Overdrive. Still need to flush.

Based on this photo, this is not ready. Depending on the strain there are several weeks to go before full maturity.

Great thank you, I appreciate your response. That’s what I’m thinking too. It’s Blue Dream snd says 8-10 weeks maturity and I’m half way to Week 8 now.

I just see the hairs turning pretty Amber and I’m seeing a few Amber Trichs, so it’s confusing me a bit. I just don’t want to miss my window for flushing and end up with too many Amber Trichs. Not a fan of couch lock.

This is a new strain for me. My other strains we’re pretty definitive when their Trichs clouded up and the colors flipped.

Flushing is a fallacy.

"Not a fan of couch lock" Watch that pic and when all are cloudy and few, some but few, are amber your "Window" is open.

See, I wasn’t sure about the validity of flushing either. I was going to experiment with it on this grow to see if it affects quality. On other grows, I haven’t flushed and it things seemed totally fine. I wanted to try it this time and see if there’s any change in the smoothness and if there is any truth to white vs. black ash talk I’ve been reading. (Sometimes I think I’m more fascinated by the process of growing than consumption. Ha!)

Great advice on the Trichs, I’ll just keep monitoring like you said for sure.

That’s pretty a definitive no on flushing. What would be the downside of say a 3 day flush before harvest? I see a lot of split views on this topic. Have you had any bad outcomes from it?

(I did have to do a single day flush about 3-4 weeks ago in Bloom because as you can see I had a little nutrient burn going, seems to have mostly corrected things).

3 days? Okay. But it makes no sense to flush away the nutrients needed to give maximum bulk. Which occurs the last couple of weeks. It's like training for a marathon and then fasting the last couple of weeks before the race starts.

Got it, that makes perfect sense. And yeah, definitely I only plan on going 3 days before chop.

I’m growing in Coco and just want to let the plant use up whatever nutrients are left in them and even pull a little from the leaves if they need the last day or so. I’ve read that helps make the smoke smoother and ash cleaner by eliminating the salts built up over time from constant nutrition (so I figured why not see if that claim holds water).

I plan on just giving them only Ph’d water for the last 3 feedings. I don’t plan on going overboard with running water through the roots for 20-30 mins at a time or anything. I’m just going to stop giving them the nutrients and keep the quantity the same.

In coco I don't think I'd flush at all right now. Reduce feed strength? Yes. Good luck.
