Dood get the C.a.p. Automated ebb and flow bucket system.
Very easy to use,and easy to store. This was my first hydro set up and it was great, longer veg times are nessesary though 4-6 weeks veg did well, other systems like aquamist system are nice but then you get into needing chillers etc.
Also check out hydroponics.net and click on multiflow buckets.Good luck

I tried doing a perpetual harvest in the bucket sys but believe it is possible if you do a clearex flush inplace of a 2 week h2o flush as not to starve new plants.
The 6 x 4 will be good maybe consider 2 x 4x4 trays and stagger them or 2 3x3 trays, the aqua tops for the 4x4s are nice! Aeroponic lids for the tray with like 16 holes per table.
you could fit 3 x aquamist systems (aero) in a 4 x 6 and pull 6 lbs!
or 2lbs each but the $500 price tag is a bit steep for each unit, could build somthing similiar for less.

I've considered switching to Hydroponics and I'm actually going to take the plunge. I've been researching the Bubbleponics™ and DWC the last two days, as thorough as it can get. From journals on RIU to videos on youtube and getting down to the nitty gritty. I've come to the conclusion that DWC is the choice for me. It's simple, you can Build it Yourself, it's cheap, simple and easy to use. Although it takes a little more managing, and you cant expect to grow massive plants all the time, I think it's well worth trying.

Decided to go straight to hydro for my first. doing a drip system in the veg and ebb flood for the flower. Most of my info on these systems came from mr. Greens videos "i grow chronic". Very good video to watch to get an understanding of the concept of hydro.

I also use the CAP Ebb & Gro bucket system and although I love it for its ease of use, I think bubbleponics is the way to go for folks new to hydro. Much better bang-for-buck, in my opinion.

so i cant do a perpetual with a 6x4 eh??? cuz i was thinking how am i gonna get the ready plants out without damaging the whole root system... what if i got 3 2x4's??? 1 for each stage??? can i use 1 res or will i need 2?? 1 for flush??? if i need 2, how big would the flush res have to be for a single 2x4??? ill need 3 pumps tho eh or can i get away with 2???
