Thinning out plants

The plant I am growing right now is starting to develop into a bush (pink kush). I feel like i need to thin it out because a lot of the leaves on the inside arent getting light and i dont want it to produce buds there. When is the best time to thin out a plant? I am 1-2 weeks from starting flower. Should I do it all at once or is it better to do it day by day?

Are you growing SOG or Scrog?

I just have one plant that Im growing for myself. didnt do anything special to it. not topped or lst
