O.k. never had a grow make it to the end. This is the third try. I have a plant in the party cup grow (sig).Mrsdoubtfire is doing good.

I just topped her,today. Feeding gh flora series three part. She (hopefully) is bag seed. This grow is a few weeks old, most updates can be seen in my sig link

G-13 Pineapple express: lost one already for some reason.. Turned real peachey kinda pale white,with a small green spot in the growth close to first leafs,then just flopped. So I had to start another one.... On 6-5-11

6500k cfls 2 26 watts.. Have four more waiting for a whip to be put on. Will be using 2 one hundred watt hps fer flowering. No more than four in flower for me...Shooting for one of each every 4-6 weeks.Would need them to stay within 20" due to light intensity during flower. First chair, 420 post, you gots to be on here more than me..

O.k. I wanted to see what this fim and topping was all about,since my suckey lights (anybody know a decent 400 hps with agro(sp?) will be limiting me,for now. So a bag seed was sprouted to be fim'ed. Would you believe i even missed that??

See those two inner nodes? They took off like a rocket ship after fim, the only ones to grow noticeably.

So, not sure how to properly fim.. will go back to reading. Maybe fim the clones from pineapple and tie them open like upside down spider shape?? hope for 2-3 ounces a plant?? Now plans for the Dinafem Cali hash plant are just reg. top method after six nodes back to third node. Pics on that experiment method to follow.Maybe screen both?? Hash is a leggy lil thang...

Don't worry about moving your thread, they won't say anything. Man I'm not gonna lie to you I hate FIMing I tried it twice with my plants and both times failed. However when I top, my side growth explodes just like yours did. You should definitely look into topping at the 5th node....great way to get 4-6 main colas.

Scrog will definitely be my next technique to try....just looks like so much fun!

I topped the party cup.. and like what i see better than my fim project.. To fim is "F@@k I missed",but I really missed...

With Party cups? Not for a while. I'm only through my first cycle right now and it looks like I've averaged about 3 grams per plant. Mind you it was 12/12 from the start, and all sorts of problems. With your setup (Not to sure what your nutes are) Realistically I'd shoot for 5grams(dry) on each plant, just so you don't get let down. Also, with no complications and a good feeding schedule I would say you could get up to 18g. Yes an ounce is very very possible out of a Party cup, But is about the equivalent of getting 1.5-2oz out of a 2gal. It takes practice, and getting to know your plants. Not trying to let you down, just setting you up for success. Would hate to see you legitimately try for an ounce and only get 5g out of a plant. That would be a major let down to me. Seems to me like it won't be till the 3rd or 4th cycle I set through until start hitting upwards of 20g a plant


Genetics play a huge party in party cup growing. However if you thought you could harvest one a week instead of one every 2 weeks, you would accomplish that goal much easier. To have a perpetual harvest every week you only need 8 plants in flowering. (Just food for the thought.)

Mrsdoubtfire is just a tag along for the comp..Was asking about 2-3 ounces using clones from pineapple express, and my Cali hash... In soil.. Using gh flora series three part nutes.

what it is! i made it yo! ur space and #of plants determine pot size in my mind.i can go 12 1 gal pots easy,or 3 3gal,2 5 gal. in my 2x5x6 cab.what size is ur space?ive read twice,im missing it.btw,were u asking if u should use 3 or 5 gal pots?lol

Right now Im in a spare room.. Just have lights hanging over them.. Shed TOO HOT.. Reg temps have been 96-101 Everyday...So BOSS gave me spare room.. Working on installing a 8" squrriel fan in the shed to see if the temps lower,until then Im inside,in a section of a room.

3 gallon or seven gallon.. this thread may die, to "moving" to a new "home"..Lotsa good folks.. Some I have retained alot of info from.. so ill try to keep checking in here,but you know what they say,you will love one and hate the other.. so until then. bongsmilie
