A comprehensive thread on hydro grows.

We need a good thread with info on basic setups, pumps, bubbleponics vs hydroponics, what pumps to use (water, air), reservoirs, tubing, mediums, nutes, etc.

I have seen the fatty colas some people are getting from their hydro grows.
I know someone can make this post.

agreed i have never used hydro or aeoro only soil but would love to lean more about both a good thread would be great

Ok I'm trying to answer that issue and need help. Every body here has trouble finding stuff.

So I want to fix it. Right now I'm trying to put it into a mysql data base that is going so slow It may never get done.

I'm willing to collect all the info and put it into a searchable data base or what ever if some body will just guide me in the right direction.

Right now I'm using mysql and php and am learning both as I go.

Is there something else better all ready put together just waiting for me to enter the info.

Yes as a member of this forum I am doing it for this forum.

That's cool man. Thanks for contributing and trying to help everyone out.

I am currently in the 2nd week of flowering in a regular soil indoor setup. It's gone well, and I wan't to take some clones and possibly start a hydro grow. Problem is, I know the basic concept of a grow and could probably set one up, but I just don't know the details or enough to feel confident about it.

Man, I 'd like to help ya, especially with the Bubbleponics Systems or HYDRO vs SOIL.
I have a system that uses a submerisive pump, in the 8 gal tank in the water, with six tubes, one running to each of 6 cups. It is NOT a flow of water, but because of the 4 GIANT airstones, (my water just churns with AIR....OXEYGEN) I actually have air and water being pumped to each cup. Sure makes for a rapid start on little seedlings. After the roots get over two inches out of the cups, they are in the 6 gallons of HIGHLY OXGENATED water. ! Plants love Oxygen and seldom do people even talk
about it.
i'd like to also voice an opinion here. I never give advise to dirt growers, but I see dirt growers giving advise on water growing all the time here. I think people ought to post with their signatures if they are dirtbags or water growers, in my humble opinion.

it is so time consuming just posting all the stuff let alone answering all the questions though. new growers should get thier feet wet first.

No that is not all we have in FAQ. There are 2 pages on hydroponics, one on ebb and flow, and and one on bubblers. That is 4 pages of info total. Folks need to cruise around and look before saying we need this or that.

I have questions about it.

What if someone doesn't know exactly what they are looking for (what word to type in to search for)? Lets say they are new and need info on cfl's but don't know what they are called only what they look like. What then?

What I wanted to do was build a data base that had all the FAQ info in it.

Tie it to PHP and let it run on rollitup. It would be yours not mine I don't want it. I want to stay here.

It would work like google but only on rollitup.

The better question you ask the better the answer.

It would use wild cards too like for just soil or just hydro.

Would we have both FAQ's? Who would be in charge of deciding what catagories are what? Would they be open to public opinion? What about acknowledging people that have contributed their own material to FAQ?

All I do is sit here any way.

I'm healing from broke neck 3 place's they even gave me a nice new plate to hold my neck together.

and broke back second time.
